I got a chance to play around with the @sweetartsociety subscription box from @sweetstampshop a little bit last week. I just used some scratch paper since I was just playing. Here is what I came up with, not to shabby, since I haven’t done watercolors since I was a kid. I love that I get to try new mediums.
I can’t wait to see what we get next month. Don’t forget to sign up!
Swipe left to see all the goodies in the October box.
🚢The adventures that way!🚢.
Toot toot! The weekends ahead! This pic was the first I took onboard the @dfdsuk ship before we crossed the sea to Amsterdam! So much excitement exploring the decks and discovering what was onboard - two cinema screens, two bars, a shop, a cafe, a games room, a casino, a nightclub and a restaurant not to mention all the cabins and car decks! 💛
So this was my wet felting experiment! A Merino and silk cobweb scarf. It was tricky photographing as I often use my yard as a backdrop, but this time of year and the colors in this scarf blend right in! I was going to make more to bring with me to the Fall Marketplace tomorrow down at the Kinzua Bridge, but I didn't have enough materials on hand. So if you're interested, I'll have a couple more colors available at the Crary Art Gallery during the Christmas Walk on December 7 & 8. I really enjoyed making this, and hope to experiment with wet felting more!
Syksy on täällä ja myös viileät ilmat, mikä tarkottaa nassun hemmottelua 💛 Mulle pitkän aikaa kahtena suosikkina on ollut Mossan kasvoöljy jonka kaveriksi levitän aina iltaisin Mossan karhunvatukka yövoidetta 💭 #mossa#ihonhoito
first off #nofilter secondly I was told that the pony didn’t let people touch their face without them flinching and running away due to physical abuse it endured through rough training gone wrong. #thatwasalongsentence Anyway. I was wondering what it could be that pony sensed about me...Maybe it’s because it was my first time wearing @lumedeodorant ;) but anyway. Third thing is that They (idr the name so they are THEY) were taken in by the ranch owner who runs a non profit rescue in her own home. (i’ll update a link to page) Moral of the 3 piece story is that I did not stink with a non aluminum having Cream! #tryingsomethingnew#iwasnotpaidtosaythis#ducklips
Today, I wanted to shift gears and talk about what really goes into the salted egg snacks we've come to love. When I was traveling abroad and first fell in love with these salted egg snacks in Asia, I was shocked and disheartened to see the ingredients full of things that are super harmful to our health.
MSG - Contained in most of the salted egg snacks found in today's market. Although its harmful effects are still debated, it is still a trigger substance making us eat more without appreciating the natural tastes of the ingredients.
Margarine - contain high levels of trans fat, which has been proven to be highly detrimental to our heart health, and government around the world advise against its consumption.
Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein - a flavor enhancer similar to MSG, shown in studies to cause headaches and similar side effects when consumed.
Silicon Dioxide - this is a known carcinogen, and even banned by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
Permitted Colouring - Food colouring have caused everything from hyperactivity and allergic reactions to cancer.
Flavour Enhancers (E621, E635) - common sense says as humans, we shouldn't eat things with titles that could very much correspond to college dormitory rooms.
What I'm trying to say here is, if producers are making these things that are misaligned with our health and well-being, then we need to become more conscious consumers. As a makers of foods here at Tochi, we want to to make food; not artificial enhancers, not letters and numbers, and definitely not engineered dyes to make the food look more 'attractive'. Because we believe in nourishing our bodies with the things meant for it, and nothing else. That is our commitment. 👊🏻
