This beautiful, peaceful, alpine-like lake in Yunnan Province and the Yanyuan County of Sichuan province. The border between the two provinces goes through approximately the middle of the lake. There are many ancient villages in the area, and many of the Mosuo inhabitants live similar to the lives of their great-grandparents, but most have electricity now and a few modern day conveniences.
The lake waters are clear and calm. They appear to be a beautiful deep blue colour. In many places along the shore, we saw brightly coloured boats. The most common colours were red, blue, and orange.
While driving our car on the road a few hundred metres from the lake, we stopped to photograph a Mosuo child, his mother, and grandmother, all carrying loads of branches on their backs. We got invited to their home, where they had meat hanging.
On Lugu Lake Road, we stopped at a village market. Many of ladies were dressed in their elaborate festive Mosuo-Minority costumes.
At many locations on the lake, we saw boats anchored out in the water.
The Mosuo minority people of Lugu Lake are noted for their “walking marriages,” where most couples do not marry or live together, and where the Mosuo women may have children fathered by different men.

Donovan, brand new to track this season quickly learned how to triple jump.
On his final attempt Donovan was in 3rd place. I told him how important this last jump was. He then told me he was going to jump from the 36’ board. 🤷🏾♂️ This jump was a 2’ PR and won the JV Triple Jump competition.
Celebrate my friend because we got some form fixing to do.

Being in front of the highest peak on earth can only make you feel breathless, and not only because with the altitude. The place is BEAUTIFUL and special. You feel like you have reached one of the latest frontiers on earth. The way up is not challenging, but be careful with the altitude. 5.200 meters is not a joke and you have to use your energies wisely. Drink plenty of water and take a few days to arrive there, ascending gradually. Once you are at Mt. Qomolangma Nature Reserve and getting ready to go to the viewing area you can hike from tent city to base camp viewing area. It's better to be able make your own adventure through the paths and take in so much more of the atmosphere and buzz the whole way there and back. Our 11km round trip took us 3.5 hours due to the high altitude. You do have the option of catching a bus, but is not the same!
Tips: Get psychologically ready to face the Stendhal's syndrome that you will suffer in front of such an enormous beauty.

The Temple dated far back to 7th century founded by King Songtsen Gampl which he built for his two brides, first from Nepal and the second from China. Enlargements were done all the way until 1610 by the 5th Dalai Lama. It is considered the spiritual center of Lhasa and spiritual center of Tibetan Tourism.
We started walking around the Temple by 1130am and when we attempted to enter around noon, the Temple was filled with local pilgrimage - a good site to observe but also a lot of people to share the experience with. By about 1:30pm the entire Temple were cleared of local pilgrimage and gone quiet again.
A lot of history to this Temple including Princess Wencheng hid the 12 year Buddha from the army sent by Chinese self proclaimed empress Xu Zhe Tien. The hidden cave can still be seen today. Tips: I would highly recommend to visit the Temple avoiding lunch time, and photos are not allowed inside the Temple.

Hype-man: Yooo who you know got 9-11 year olds bounding like this? Them boys are jumping jumping! 🐰
Coach: When proper physiological and psychological development is attended to from day one, your job is easy the rest of the way. 🎧 Reggie Beats

Lijiang is beautiful and lovely beyond description. It is located at relatively high altitude surrounded by mountains, with pure, fresh air and outstanding views all around. Each corner of the city has something artistic and quaint to see: from murals to sculptures and vases decorating the courtyards of the houses, to creeks and countless bridges spanning the city, to the Naxi minority delighting tourists with their dances. Has wonderful ambiance. Varied eateries, street food, shops, bars with live entertainment. All around the old town are "old" inns. There are also newly built but designed like old Chinese family homes with courtyards and gardens. It is the one place in China where we did not mind to get lost, in fact, We wanted to be lost in there for days on end, so breathtaking it was.
Tips: The Old Town makes a perfect romantic getaway for a couple. 👫👫👫

Coaches and athletes see two different stories. Athlete sees failed jumps, fouls, missed opportunities. Coach sees consistency, potential, readiness. “When driving to the beach you can expect to smell the salt in the air, the breeze of the ocean wind, people dressed in beach gear. When driving to the destination of success you can expect others succeeding around you, jealousy, envy, joy. Keep your focus on the FEELING of your destination, it will come.“ Keinan Briggs

八廓街 is a old street outside Jokhang Temple. There is so many Tibetan locals walking around the jokhang temple everyday to do their daily prayer. We loved walking around this street. A lot of souvenirs shop and restaurants along the street to attract tourists. Most of them offer the prayer wheels, long-sleeve ‘chuba’ (the Tibetan people’s traditional clothes), Tibetan knives and some religious articles for sale. Furthermore, some shops sell ‘Thangka‘ (the Tibetan scroll painting), which is a unique art of Tibet with the themes of religion, history, literature, science and customs. A unique and unforgettable experience.
Tips: This is not a place just for tourists, it is a place where the buddhist come to pray. Make sure you walk clockwise around the street with the people to show your respect.
