Grief can be a powerful thing. Whenever I get upset about the Climate Crisis, I try to use my energy for something positive. Today I did some more work in shelterbelts, getting the trees summer ready and hopefully helping them outgrow the weeds.
Before - cut grass with sickle - cardboard box weed mat - straw on top.
I'm hoping this combination will see them through any periods without regular rain.
Finally, a proper day of drizzle here. We've not had this in a long time. #croftlife#myclimatechanges#shelterbelts2019#plantmoretrees#treesofinstagram
In the forest that I grew up in. Thank you @jasonmleung for the picture. 🍃

Friendship is a tree to take shelter from the storm, to find shade from the blazing sun, to climb its branches to get a better view, and to swing from when we're happy 😊
Doesn’t take much for me to revert back to being a child! 🌳🥰 #treeswing#outdoors#treesofinstagram
This image comes from another section around the larger Stourhead estate - leading away from the Gardens, and towards the Six Wells and Camp direction. It’s a vast (larger than this 5x7 crop will allow) area with woodland on either side.
I do love this track a lot…much to see and do here.
