Kadıköy, district of Istanbul on the Anatolian side. Located in the southwestern part of the Kocaeli Peninsula, Kadıköy is surrounded by the Marmara Sea in the west and south, Üsküdar in the north, Ataşehir in the northeast and Maltepe in the east.
🇬🇷 Experiencing a culture, is rarely about visiting museums or the tallest buildings in town. It’s about finding those moments when you're completely at ease doing something, as if you're at “home”. In general, that involves human interaction and just as often occurs around eating and drinking—both a ritual and a necessity wherever we’re from. Learning to share those moments, or at least see them from another perspective, makes you feel truly connected to your current location.
Heraklion is the biggest city on Crete, and was originally established in honor of Hera, wife of Zeus, and goddess of marriage, love, and life. The city is home of Knossos, the famous labyrinthine palace which spawned such legends as that of the Theseus and the Minotaur, Daedalus and Icarus. The Castello a Mare is a fortress which stands sentinel over the port city, and was the subject of multiple invasions, including Turks, Venetians, Ottomans. It is the administrative heart of Crete and fourth largest city in Greece with a population of 140K.
When I first arrived in Greece, I was stranded, so I bought a roundtrip bus ticket from Chania to Heraklion and slept on the bus there and back (one-way 2.5 hrs). I didn't enjoy any of the natural scenery of the island of Crete, but I did get 5 hrs of sleep.

Hands up for the miracle,
We’re in Greece✌🏻😝
And this time, #New_Yellow_Adventure explores Evia or Euboea island🏔 - the second largest of the Greek islands, just after Crete: 135 km long & 5-60 km wide.
In different times the island was under control of Athenian league, Macedonia, the Roman Empire, Byzantyum, the Venetians, Ottoman Empire and in 1830 became the part of modern Greece📜
Today, the island is mostly known for it’s Thermal Baths in Edipsos🛁 But unlike with other spa resorts, it’s barely popular amongst tourists. Quite the opposite, local hot springs and baths are mostly visited by the Greeks themselves, as if they were hiding them from the foreigners🤫
That’s one of the reasons Euboea has been keeping its unique identity through the time. So if you want to have a look at Greece from within, get into the real life of the locals and even earn some Greek😏 that’s a perfect place to visit.
Interesting? Stay Tuned, I’ve prepared for you some catching reportages about deserted baths, mountain springs and greek cuisine😱😏
