We’ve been watching a ton of #OurPlanet lately and it’s crazy the statistics of how much we have already damaged our planet and how many species are on the way to extinction.
But it’s not too late.
Almost a year ago we eliminated plastic cups, utensils, napkins, plates, etc. from our household so that we can reduce the amount of waste that we are throwing out each week. It’s been difficult, and we’re not perfect as we have bought a paper plate or two as we really hate washing dishes, but it’s our small effort to making our planet a more sustainable and livable place.
What is there in your life that you can control, not just today, but everyday to help reduce your carbon footprint?
The moments we experience through traveling is more than anything money can buy. Let’s take care of this gorgeous place we call home so that we can continue to enjoy and explore the world, like Hierve el Agua in Oaxaca, Mexico, and all the incredible Mother Earth has to offer. We only have one home so let’s take care of it. 🌿
there's no storm too dark God can not calm it, there's no sorrow too deep God can't soothe it . #throwback

Coming from America, I’m always surprised to see how friendly the police are in most other parts of the world. I saw this officer approaching two beggars by the entrance and naturally expected her to ask them to leave and/or harass them. Instead they start joking, laughing together, and she walks away with a smile on her face. Rather than making them feel unwanted, they feel humanized.
Tallinn, I have loved you and I have hated you, but there is this one thing about you that I can never get enough of- it's the sea. It's often cold to swim and it's not turquoise like the Caribbeans, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that it exists.
For me, sea is a symbol of absolute freedom. It's the beginning and the end, and It's something bigger and better than us.
I can live in places with no sea. Then I folllow rivers and seek lakes. Dreams of seas keep me alive, but not forever. Luckily nothing is for forever. And as long as the sea is a train ride away, I stay sane. .
I’ve been feeling so blessed and lucky lately to be able to explore this big beautiful planet we all call home.
It warms my soul to see more and more people gaining passion and interest in preserving the natural beauty of earth.
Pick up your trash, pick up trash that’s not yours, add recycled or reusable materials to your life, turn the lights off, use less water, use less chemicals...there’s SO many little habits we can change to help Earth stay beautiful 🌎 Be sure to take care of Mother Earth not just today on Earth day, but every day! 💚
What are some things you do in your daily lives to help protect our planet?
My first time in a Mosque. My excitement was unreal. I have wanted to go into one now for a while. The Imam spoke to us, telling us about the building and more about Islam. The highlight of my trip. #MohammedAlAminMosque#MyLebanon#Beirut_Lebanon
When I think of Sri Lanka the words kindness and love come to mind. This morning I woke up to the news of the horrible attacks that had taken place in a country with some of the most amazing people I have ever met while abroad. No one deserves this, so today I ask you to keep this beautiful country and its people in your thoughts. 💔🇱🇰
