I don’t think there could have been a better place than Costa Rica to dive into this next phase of my life. There’s just something about warm air, humidity, salt water and so many bird noises to take the edge off. I highly recommend it 👌🏻
Anyone else more excited about the royal family than their own family right now ? 🙋🏼♀️. Shh, don’t tell my family! But between a new little baby, an amazing wedding and the Queen’s birthday, it’s been an eventful few weeks across the pond. Dying to see what Meghan Markle wears down the aisle and what her guests outfits look like ! And while we’re at it, just sitting here waiting to hear what they’ve named the new littlest prince. Any guesses ?! I’m going for either Phillip or Alexander. Tell me your guesses below ⬇️

My latest discovery and obsession: traveler’s notebooks.
I admit, I live under a rock as I had never heard of these until my friend Gemma whipped hers out and showed me and I was hoooooked.
If you’re unfamiliar, just look on google, YouTube, IG and Pinterest. If you love journals and paper like me, you’ll be in love.
Being the crafty soul I am, I decided to make my own instead of buy one. Just to make sure I would use it. I may buy one later.
I bought that yellow straw purse you see for $2.25 at Value Village. Cut it up. Painted on it. Glued it. Sewed it together around the edges. Voila. A travelers notebook cover. Then I made most of the inserts (the paper notebooks inside that you can remove and add as desired) out of copy paper and a map I bought for .60. Also from value village. 😂
I keep my journal in here, my positivity/gratitude notebook, business plans and meetings, pattern designs, book reading list and opinions, my embroidery, sticky notes, Guatemala worry women (to take my worries away), pictures of those I love, stickers and my new fountain pen. Basically I am in love!!! If you haven’t heard of these, def look them up! Lots of brands sell beautiful covers and inserts!
Over the next week or so, while I'm home and without a working laptop to process more photos (my Surface Pro 4 screen delaminated), I will share some of the gems from my Mongolia trip that I have not shared thus far. This one was taken on our last morning outside of urban area of our camp area. The location is approximate as many locations in Mongolia are non urban so Instagram does not quite have them. The early morning sun softened by the dew and fog, the mountain in the background framed by the gates of the camp and a steepe eagle soaring high -the picture is essentially everything non-urban Mongolian landscape summed up. Mongolian camps such as these exist only in summer as the gers which act as rooms for visitors (complete with proper furniture and power sockets) are taken down and stored for the winters and put back up again when tourist season starts. This practice prevents permanent structure requiring massive amount of maintenance; working with rather than against nature in their harsh climate. Winter snows are too heavy for the gers and temperature can go as low as minus 25 deg C! Outside urban areas, ger camps are typical accommodation options for tourists in Mongolia. Like Africa and outback Australia, it is not a place for sissies 😋 (to borrow a slogan off a T-shirt). Footnote : This week, I put some of my work on Etsy, - limited editions art prints. If this is of interest, you are invited to browse. Thanks in advance.
