Palm Springs' legendary Movie Colony Hotel @movie_colony_hotel Re-Opens following extensive renovation... Frank Sinatra partied here. Marilyn Monroe slept here. Jim Morrison jumped into the pool here - from his second-floor balcony! Now the legendary Movie Colony Hotel, which closed for renovations in 2015, is ready to write the latest chapter in its amazing history.
The 16-room property sits at the edge of Palm Springs' "Movie Colony" neighborhood, where Golden Age film stars once owned vacation homes. Best of all, the Movie Colony Hotel is in the middle of Palm Springs' vibrant Uptown Design District, where visitors can find some of the city's trendiest restaurants, art galleries, shops and more - all within walking distance.
The Movie Colony Hotel features:
- 16 guest rooms with pillowtop beds, with most rooms have patios or balconies.
- A central courtyard, where a complimentary continental breakfast is served daily, and a patio bar opens each evening.
- Restaurant, bar and room services from its sister property, the Triada Palm Springs @triadapalmsprings which is next door.
Farming was an important part of life at Machu Picchu Inca city. Here, is a view from the Central Plaza at the agricultural area with the terraced farming structures.
Perched at the top is the Guardhouse, also known as the Caretaker’s Hut. It is not one of the more important structures at Machu Picchu, at least not in any ritual or ceremonial context. It was, however, an important building for security and defense.
This was the first of two separate hikes we took to see different views of Victoria Falls. To be honest, I wasn’t completely sold until I saw this natural beauty in person. It was definitely worth it. Also, yes...I got right up to the edge of the cliff and it was scary as hell!
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm, and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”

<🇫🇷> Amour veut tout sans nombre, amour n'a point de loi
<🇬🇧> Love says it all without number, love knows no law.
Do’s and Don’ts in Marrakech:
✔︎ Sleep in a Riad - there are so many beautiful riads inside and around the souks.
✔︎ Enjoy the typical Moroccan food - think tajines, cous cous 🤤
✔︎ Buy a lot and haggle - you should generally not pay more than 50% of the original price.
✘ Do not exchange money at the airport - the exchange rate is always terrible!
✘ Do not accept directions from strangers - they generally just want your money.
✘ Do not think everything you will come across in the markets is of high quality - sometimes the leather you are buying is not real leather!
✘ Do not bring your drone! They are illegal here and will get confiscated at the border. Thankfully I read about this before my trip and left my drone at home.
Have you been to Morocco? What are your tips?
