It had to be done! I experienced my first bit of snowfall today outside City Hall, whilst shopping for snow boots and a winter jacket. Disclaimer: this job cannot be completed in one morning alone, the @cftoeatoncentre is a minefield!
Mega shout out to @valuevillage_thrift too, helping me save my precious pennies for my future adventures 🙌 .
❄ The cold weather is definitely coming! ❄
One thing that I'm looking forward to most is seeing real seasons here - average winter and summer temperatures in the UK sit around 20 degrees apart, but now I'm going to experience anything from +40 to -40 degrees. Am I even going to live?!! .
Right after we found out @lunaparksydney was closed to the public... still had to do it #forthegram . What a bloody trip! From peaking far too early and spending the rest of the trip looking slightly homeless... I wouldn’t do it with anyone but you boo @kenzy_coutts thanks for one hell of a weekend! See you in the first quarter 🖤
New York was never somewhere I dreamed of living. It’s not that I didn’t love it, or what I knew of it, but I was never one of those. Well, not with regards to New York anyway.
The best advice I was given upon moving here was, “You’ll hate the first year. Just survive that year and then you’ll never want to leave.”
While I realize this is not a universal truth, it was staggeringly accurate for me. You live in arguably the greatest city on earth, how can you be anything but constantly elated. Oh let me count the ways...
Today marks three years. I’ve lived in New York longer than any other city except my hometown. The people. The history. The bagels. To say nothing of the coffee. Everywhere else really is Cleveland. 😂
