Rich and Sarah were out on an adventure in one of our 110’s last weekend. Their route included Applecross, Torridon and down by our base in the Cairngorms - great choices! Thanks for the pics too guys 👌🏻😎

The main peaks and best views on Beinn Eighe are all behind us at this point. It's a good 4 hours and more getting this far. But aside from a harsh scramble over broken rock, steep shale and scree slopes and sheer drops there's the Black Carls ahead. No obvious path, no straight line and no clue what we were doing, my friend Dave and I decided to say goodbye to our friend Simon, who had to work the next day and crack on. Its telling that I didn't think to take another picture for 4 hours or so. 😂
It's quite an intense scramble, when you don't know what you are doing.
A spectacular moment of light during a brief pause from the driving wind and rain in Torridon. I lowered my umbrella and saw not only the tree illuminated in the light but the most magnificent rainbow had formed perfectly into my frame over the tree. I couldn't have wished for more perfect conditions.
A few moments later and the light had gone, the rainbow was gone, the rain was back and I had to retreat back behind my umbrella.
