Tip Of The Day: How to continuously stay focused and get better without burning out.
You already know, I love the idea of working hard for the things you enjoy and give everything to achieve your goals. However, it won’t be possible if all you do is work 24/7 and don’t have time to pause and enjoy life. Here is how you can still work A LOT without feeling like you might just faint due to work overflow.
FIND THE TIME TO HAVE FUN! You can do this in 3 ways, either:
1️⃣ Reserve time every day to spend enjoying yourself with your friends or doing something you just enjoy. Work 7am-7pm and then have fun 7-9 with your friends or just watch a show you enjoy (Suits!)
2️⃣ Once a week have a day where you just enjoy yourself. For example: have all Sunday off and just do stuff you enjoy: go for a hike, watch a movie, hangout with friends, have a BBQ, etc...
3️⃣ Have a hybrid of those 2 things. That’s what I like to do. Have 3 times a week where you hangout w/ friends for a little, and then one day, you can have fun from 5pm to whenever you want. For me, those are Fridays (today, yaaaay!) where I work until 6pm, and then after 6, I go out, I party, enjoy myself, and take all the stress off that have been built up (if any).

Day 16 of our givingPROJECT was to visit Santa. Sounds funny, right? Well...it wasn’t just any Santa! Last year, we went to a popular free event, but this time around, I read about the Bridgeport PAL and how they host a “Christmas Village.” The small cost (compared to the exorbitant NYC photo prices we were used to!) includes an “experience” walking through the building exhibits, a gift from Santa, and best of all, the proceeds benefit PAL’s free extracurricular programming for youth. *****
The kids really enjoyed the visit and it was cute. It was a nice change from the long lines and feeling rushed through the crowds. To be honest, I’m not sure we’ll do this particular activity every year, but it was certainly worth doing. The bonus was that “Santa” spent an extraordinary amount of time talking to the kids and sharing words of wisdom. In addition, the kids each received two toys, a new toothbrush pack, and a coloring book. 😱 Santa suggested to Luna that she give one toy away to a friend if she wants to, so she chose one to donate! All in all, it was a sweet and simple way to tie giving into our day.
Whenever you participate in activities that include a donation piece, make sure to explain it to your kids! It seems oversimplified, but I would bet you’re doing more giving than you may even realize! Try to take a moment to explain any type of donation to your kids. It is essential in helping them understand how they are making an impact AND helps them develop the language to discuss it. Happy Giving! ❤️

I have a couple of android phones lying around and I never found this feature as easy as I should have and its the routines you can setup in Google Assistant, by default if you say 'Good Morning' to Google assistant a routine would start that would take you through your day ahead. You can go into Google Assistant Settings and setup numerous fully customizable routines to voice command of your liking. iOS has Siri shortcuts now also similar to this in a recent tip I mentioned about it but the implementation of Google Assistant allows you to customize to your liking whereas Siri suggests you shortcuts.

However, there are even more important reasons to keep them clean other than just appearances and points. If snow, ice, slush or other debris get caught up in the tire treads and wheel wells, it can cause the rubber to deteriorate prematurely. Further, it can impair steering control and maneuverability, potentially leading to a crash. ⠀

Have you ever wanted something new, maybe a new phone, a new car, or a new Gucci handbag, only to get it and love it at first, but then get over the novelty of it, and then want a later version? Some people might buy expensive things, then regret how much money they have spent on something they ‘thought’ would make them happier.
In life, we tend to strive for things, thinking it will make us happier once we get it. This couldn’t be further from the truth. You could be in a very well paying job, but hate going to work everyday because you mightn’t like what you do. You could be the wealthiest person in the world, who has everything, but maybe no one to share it with.
The same goes for wanting to seek cosmetic work. Having bigger lips, or wanting cosmetic surgery will not make you happier. I’ve actually had patients say to me that they think it will make them happier, when asked why they are seeking treatment. It is ethical for me not to treat in these situations and you will be politely turned away.
Don’t seek to have something done because you’re inspired by someone else’s looks, or you’re feeling a bit down, for whatever reason. Only do something because it’s what you ‘truly’ want to do, for you alone 💗.
When’s the last time you took 10 minutes to simply do nothing? .
We all know that we’re supposed to take care of our bodies, but you can’t forget to take care of your mind. With the way the world it is today, it’s easy to become constantly distracted, to become obsessed with finding things to do to occupy that 30 seconds of silence you may have. Our mind, our brains, our lives are so precious and it’s extremely important to take care of it.
I’m sure you’ve heard about the benefits of meditating, but meditating doesn’t necessarily mean lighting a candle or burning an incense and sitting on the floor. Meditating has to do with becoming present, becoming mindful, understanding and controlling your thoughts. It allows us to see that things may not always be the way that they appear.
We can’t change everything that happens to us, but we can change the way that we experience it. .
That’s why I’m challenging you to take 5-10 minutes each day to just do nothing. No phone, no emails, no music, no planning, just be mindful and be in the present. .
Join me on this challenge to just take 5-10 minutes a day to experience the focus, calm and clarity in your life. .
