For Earth Day I would like to announce that I will be teaming up with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to offer some charitable yoga in Hampton Roads. 100% of the proceeds will be donated. More will be announced in due time.
Funding for the Bay was cut for the last two years and it looks like it’s gonna be cut for another two. The Bay has been doing really well and been on the come up!!!!!!! It would just really suck to watch all that compassion and hard work go to waste. I grew up on the Bay and it has been a huge influence in my life. Growing up with family and friends fishing, swimming, long boarding, riding bikes to watch sunsets on docks and the shore, the list goes on. This is a chance to align your actions with your values and make a difference. #savethebay#chesapeakebay#757#hamptonroadsva#makeadifference#freshseafood#earthday#lifesabeach#mermaidmission#happyasaclam#feelingcrabby#theworldisyouroyster

Salt. Sand. Sea.
I came across a post from many years ago... It couldn't be more fitting right now... With a few tweaks... 💕
Sometimes I catch myself thinking about the past and a memory escapes through a tear drop... But I've realised, it's not the person I miss, but rather the feeling of having someone to love... 😢
I am happy in my own company but to love and be loved is a beautiful gift in life 🙏 Everything happens for a reason at the right time... I trust in God to show me the way, the path I should walk... Now is my time to focus on my path ahead and to literally soar with the eagles 🦅👩✈️✈🌍 When I wrote this, all those many years ago, I didn't know what awaited me but God is always good! I am excited about what the future holds and I can't wait to accomplish my next BIG goal! . *** "I don't know how to start this post but I'll start where it ended... I walked past the Italian pizzeria on the corner, near my house, yesterday... Noticed the lights were off and then saw they were closed for renovation... That's when it dawned upon me! I had closed up for renovation too.. I miss the waiters smiling at me when I walked past there everyday... When I fell head over heels in love for the very first time, when I had dinner dates there... All the memories came back to me and crawled out the corners of my eyes and made me realise it was really over.
For those of you that want to travel and explore this amazing planet, first we have to protect what is left and reverse the damage that has already been done.

We celebrated this girl today at the Easter gathering at Grandpa’s house. Guess who has ALL of her college paid for?? It sure pays to put your nose to the grindstone!! I have watched this girl work harder than most when it comes to her grades. She has worried the last few years about paying for college, but I kept telling her that her hard work will eventually pay off. I pushed her to challenge herself and take opportunities, and to apply for every scholarship imaginable. You CAN do anything you put your mind to! Only you can hold yourself back.
I believe there’s 2 kind of things in life: the ones I know and the ones I’m going to learn. And surfing is one of them.
Those of you who have known me for longer will probably know that I have always been somehow “afraid” of the sea. It’s not a phobia, it’s more of a respect. I wouldn’t be the one running for a swim when I went to the beach with my friends, neither the one jumping to the water when sailing on the open sea.
That’s why, almost 3 years ago, I decided it was time to overcome one of my fears and obtained the OW diving license. And it was one of the best decisions of my life. Today I love diving and can’t wait to get back underwater to keep discovering the wonders that lay out of the reach of our eyes.
However, being able to go under the waves, I still had to learn how to face them from the above. As far as I know, you’re never too old nor too young to pick up something new, and this year I joined @surfmaroc to learn how to surf. And, as I could have expected, it was fantastic.. especially thanks to my awesome teacher (and now friend) @mehdii_tamiga who had enough patience helping me get up on the board and catch some waves.
In my (short) life, the best experiences often came from facing fears and getting out of my confort zone. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true. And I’m happy I took the courage to try something new.
I know I won’t learn how to surf overnight (and I don’t plan to), it will take time and effort. I will try to catch a wave, fall, try again, fall and try back until I get it. And I’ll get it. Sounds like a plan, so let’s get to it 💪
Think globally. Local business is no longer strictly defined by geography.
A Main Street feeling of community can extend beyond your hometown. People connect to a business not only because of the value of the product in their lives, but also because of the way the owner makes them feel about themselves, if they use the product.
An amazing product attached to a leaderless company will still be bought, but the customer feels something lacking and may or may not come back.
We buy a product because we buy the belief system of the owner of the company and how they make us feel about ourselves. When we purchase this product at a storefront or online, it is because the owner has reached out beyond his corner, his town, or state, to tell us we are a part of his community and therefore we need that product. It will make us better, stronger, faster and a member of his community.
Happy Sunday UJ💜, Consider widening your job search by looking for positions outside of your immediate area. You never know what possibilities could be available for you once you get out of your comfort zone!
