The past few weeks I've been trying to find a girl. Her name, possibly spelled incorrectly, is Janicka.
If you're @southafrica🇿🇦and you see her😍. Tell her I'm trying to find her🌍.Tell her I fell in love with her on that bus🚍.
I've met some really beautiful people and have stayed at even more magical hostels while searching for Janicka. This photo is of a really chill hostel @buccaneersonthebeach. It's been a really unique adventure.
The other day, right before I picked up a rental to head towards @terrakhaya, and a festival with @greenpopsa, I received word that she had already left town. I also received word of her potential direction, so off I went in that direction.
She isn't @wildspirit_backpackerslodge either😢😢. ______________________________________________
Today's post serves as an update, as well as an acceptance. It has been nearly a month of trying to find her, and I will eventually need to settle down into my volunteer position. There are a few days left on my rental car, and one last stop on the trip. After that, it'll be in the universe's hands. If it's meant to be, it will be. If not, I will never forget the first time I fell in love. The time I fell in love with Janicka on a bus.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. You're love, genuine interest, and words of encouragement mean so much. If you see her, at any point, just tell her what you know. Tell her I'll be here waiting.
And as always #muchlove... oh, and I'll post a short video clip I have of her in my stories. Seriously, much love everyone🙏.
As far as our eyes can see yet we know
just over the horizon
there is more.
