**TOMORROW** Wednesday, Oct 17 @7p we are having our midweek gathering at our home. We will have coffee and dessert, but better yet, will have two special guest families with us who are friends and share our heart for those on the Fringe. They will be sharing their stories of entering the lives of children in the foster care system. Hearing their stories will change you for sure.
Message us if you would like to come but need the address or directions.

We move into the age of Tron yet crave the antiquities of a simplified life. We are the generation of social exploration and the generation of psychological exhaustion.
We connect in private to disconnect in public and isolate the body to interconnect the mind.

Thanks to our Fringe family who came out tonight to help serve at Haven House.
When you are willing to enter the lives of those on the margins, you learn the story behind the story. And it’s often not at all what society often assumes.
People are often forced into homelessness not because of their own choices, but because of life circumstances outside of their control. Unexpected death of a partner or being a single parent and unable to make ends meet.
Tonight we met a single father and his 2 kids who recently lost their mom unexpectedly. He works 12 hr shifts with a temp agency and drives his kids 30 min one way to their school so there is as little disruption in their lives as possible, while they stay there and try to find affordable housing.
Some of our Fringe family who went in with us tonight have been through homelessness and are now on the “other side of the table,” the serving side. It’s powerful for those who live there to see someone else who had made it out and who returns to say “you can too.”
Thanks to @nealsfamousbbq in Hamilton for an excellent job catering and delicious food.

“Neighbour will you take my hand?
Is there still virtue in your heart
That will shelter me from dark?
Have you stopped to think and reflect that in this lifetime
Your child could be next?
All we show is neglect
Why do we disconnect the hearts
From the lives that fell apart?” #metalwithsoul#poignant#thinkbeforeyouact#causeandeffect#thefringe

Every attempt at maximizing your effort is one more attempt at separating yourself from your previous best, regardless of how insignificant the task.
Happy October, Fringe Residents! We will be hosting a pumpkin carving and decorating contest through October! We will choose a winner on October 29th to receive a $25 gift card for The Olivia Collection. See the office for details on how to enter. Good luck!
I have utilized aggressive psychology more times than I can remember to achieve a quick goal, but since the age of 14, the weight room has always been a vehicle of freedom a way to something grander.
Lifting weights to me was like playing guns, building a fort or a game of imagination. I could lift weights, and feel like I was a superhero.
A coach once said, ”stress is stress... Emotional, physical and mental all get processed the same.” A statement that has always stayed with me, and even guides my programming.
When life is compounding, listen and adjust learning to pull back and push forward based on your ability to progress, not because of the opinion of the pen.
These orders remind me of Fall. Loving the darker tones. I still offer faux druzy stone earrings in my shop. These are great for little ones as well. Always backed with titanium posts which are perfect for sensitive ears.

Fear is an inferior motivator and anger a hot and volatile fuel. Both will get you through a workout, but neither will see you to the finish line.
I have never met a Champion in sports that spent their life running from insecurity.
Winners are always running towards opportunity, even if by default it pulls them out of despair.
Stop confusing the two.
this video shot in Scotland at the castle Mary Queen of Scots grow up in. So much in this video brings me joy- the rehearsal of the bagpipes for #thefringe#Scotland#belfastfilm#travelwithintention and the end of the video the beautiful old cemetery. Enjoy!

Note to self: you did the things, achieved the result. Anything you do now that doesn't serve to preserve that memory, and its value will cost all that was invested.
Morning mantra while reminding myself that the future and the past cannot continue to occupy the same space and time.

If you have never coached or trained for a specific outcome, how can you claim to be an expert?
Eventually, there has to be a day of reckoning, a specific time and place where hands and dirt meet to record the value of the effort.

This Friday, Oct 5th at 7p we are going to host our first house church gathering for the Fringe. These will normally be mid week gatherings (other than this week) on a bi weekly basis with the alternating weeks focused on outreach events to the community.
The heart of our house church meetings is to build genuine friendships with our church family. These are great opportunities for you to check out the heart and vision of the Fringe if you haven’t visited yet.
🍽Main entree and drinks will be provided.
If anyone wants to bring side items, feel free.
👉🏻Message us for the address.
Everyone is welcome no matter where you’re at in life.
