"It's too expensive."
👉🏻So are doctor bills. .
Can you really put a price tag on your healthy anyways? Think of exercise and good nutrition as preventive medicine. Don't you want to be in good health now and 10, 15, 20+ years from now instead of looking back and wishing you had taken better care of yourself? .
YOU are worth the investment. You only get one life....one body. Start taking care of it. Start NOW.
On November 14, 1960, Ruby Bridges became was the first African-American child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis in 1960 after the landmark case Brown v. Board of Education. I had the honor of visiting this school a few days ago. It brought tears to my eyes walking the same hallway she walked down. And it gave me chills sitting in her classroom. The courage it must have taken to stand tall and walk into a school that didn't want you (to say the least) because of the color of your skin. To be ridiculed when all you wanted was an education. To be isolated from other children and looked down upon by teachers. I can only hope that I continue to represent her courage when I advocate for our black and brown children. Because even though that was 58 years ago, children of color are still facing racism, bias, and inequitable treatment in schools on a daily basis. What are you doing now to ensure all children are given the education they deserve? It starts now and it starts with YOU. .
Have you ever measured your self-worth by the amount of stomach rolls you have?
I used to practice sitting down so I could hide them, and I was convinced that I wouldn’t be good enough until I could sit without any trace of my skin folding over.
If you ask me, I think our standards of beauty are pretty screwed up.
Let this be a reminder to you that your worth is not measured by your stomach rolls, the extra skin on your arms, the stretch marks on your legs, or the wrinkles on your face.
Your beauty is measured by your kindness and your heart, and the way you treat other people. It’s also measured by the way you treat yourself. So be kind, give yourself some grace, and make healthy choices for the sake of being healthy - not just to erase all of your “flaws”.
There’s no such thing as “perfect”, and we’re all a constant work in progress. I’m over here reminding myself of that every day, and I wanted to make sure you heard it too. ❤️
Hey gaes! Tak kenal maka tak sayang, makanya kenalan dulu yuk! Namaku Liem Kresna Mulia Tamtomo, dengan nama panggung mr.Chun. Kok chun sih namanya? Well that’s my chinese name and dulu di eduhouse, yang namanya serupa ada buanyaaaaaakkkk. Ada Kris, Kristian, Krish, Krishna. Hahaha.. Dari pada ketukar” kan yaaaa.. 😂
Aku barusan aja lulus dari program s1 ku lho, jurusan teknik sipil. Well walaupun namanya sipil, tapi banyak keringat dan air mata buat lulus! #curhat hahaha 😅
❤My passion is teaching. I love being inspired by my kiddos each day. 🎨This room has become a showcase of their ideas and skill.🖌 I am surrounded by so many creative minds that I can't help but be humbled and grateful for my career path.🖼 What career path were you called to?

Wise words from @planninginpjs 🌟
You became a teacher to teach and your students come to school to learn. Yet sometimes, what they need is a simple gesture of love.
We can never know what is going on beyond the school gates so ensuring your students feel loved, safe and cared for can better a student's life #wellnesswednesday
Strong chance of snow outside but an even stronger chance of warmth and love in this classroom. What tricks do you use during the year (especially winter) to make your room feel extra cozy? I like to play this YouTube video of a crackling fire place with relaxing guitar music in the mornings! Leave your tips below!
I am having all the feelings about this girl -
The holidays are here and that means her prek year is halfway over -
I know she is ready to go to her big brother’s school next year but I am not -
It truly amazes me how fast these years go by -
Time to focus on the now!
I have hard days too, but if I don’t show up for me, how can I show up for all the other things in my life 🤷🏼♀️
Loving every second of life, because this is the dream I am building! ❤️
This hat was free, I prefer red ✌🏻😂

My new home reading certificates are all printed out ready for next year! 🌈 I love being organised! 📚 I believe encouraging and rewarding home reading is incredibly important as it has a huge impact on a student’s progress, particularly in the early years! 🐣

Define Your Hero.
Define why she is Your Hero.
Is it because she already won the race and is sitting on her laurels eating grapes and laughing at the world?
Or is she still running.
🏃🏼♀️ What made you admire her?
That she is done and is now doing nothing?
Or that she continues. She perseveres. She struggles and triumphs and gets up and keeps going.
So this illusion that you have that you need to finish running your race before you’re willing to reach your hand out to another person?
That’s a lie.
We tell ourselves lies because the Truth pushes us outside our comfort zone.
But here goes some truth bombs 💣 🌟 1. Hopefully, your race will not be over until God calls you Home. 🌟2. Hopefully, you are not waiting until you’re no longer here to share your gifts and inspire someone.
🌟3. You were placed here with specific gifts to share with the world. 🌟4. If you choose not to share your gifts, you lose and so does the world.
🌟5. The ultimate arrogance is not sharing your gifts. The ultimate humility is being you and sharing you while you are here.
Do you see your race differently now?
What is it that you’re supposed to do and share right NOW?
Your gifts are different from mine. You have a different message to send. That is why we have a TEAM of people spreading their messages. We need more light shedders. We need more givers. We need more leaders.
I’m teaching 4 people right now how to live bigger in their lives. I would like to add 4 more. See my stories and apply if this message calls you.

My favorite way to introduce inferences is using pictures! The red is their observations, the blue is their background knowledge, and the purple is their inference. 🙂

I was going through some posts I’ve saved on IG and came across this gem 😍😍 absolutely love this math quote from @love.mrs.liebscher
This is my “omg kids are putting post it’s in my face” face 😂 Today I used Tacky, the Penguin to practice describing characters. Then, the kids described me! This post-it note activity really got them excited to think of describing words. I guess sticking anything to your teachers face has that effect 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️😂
TEACHER HACK ✨ How amazing are sticky notes for student goal setting. I used to stick them on student tables but I quickly whipped up this little chart and attached a photo to it. It’s perfect for a goal display 😍

My dearest before-the-kids-came classroom, I’m sorry for the amount of times I’ve ruined your freshly polished floors rearranging the desks. Fair warning, it will likely happen 10 more times before Christmas. I swear I have no idea how your blind cords got tied in fifteen knots or how a bag of pepperonis got behind the futon. Also, I had a lapse in judgement when I let some students borrow my Sharpies. I’m sure those marks on the floor will come out...eventually. Please forgive me. Sincerely, Tired Teacher
This morning I shared the anchor chart I was using in a classroom. Here is my AFTER anchor chart from the Main Idea and details lesson.
The kids had such great discussion about why their detail supported their main idea. There was even a group that realized they didn’t have enough details to support what they thought was the main idea, so they had to change their main idea. #success Having the students engaged in determining the main idea and then proving why they believe it, is powerful. It’s gives the kids ownership! And it was so easy for me to see which details went with each main idea, just because of color coordination 😍
