Three triangle twist tessellations folded at increasing densities.
Each one folded from a 3” square with a single triphilia in the centre.
I have been working on this idea for a while. The green one was a slow work in progress that lived pressed in my diary for months, and I would do a few triangles at a time when I remembered it was there 😁
One iconic attraction in Beijing is Temple of Heaven and here is Qinian Palace inside 北京天坛祈年殿.
➡️Qinian in Chinese: Praying for a good harvest. It was here the Emperor in his role as intermediary between earth and heaven, would pray for good harvests each year. The circular temple is 38 meters high and the diameter of the three tiered marble podium upon which the temple sits is 90 meters. Dragon and Phoenix images decorate the building.
Temple of Heaven is an imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the south-eastern part of Beijing.
The complex was visited by the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest.
The temple complex was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of Yongle Emperor, who was also responsible for the construction of the famous Forbidden City in Beijing.
The complex was extended and renamed Temple of Heaven during the reign of Jiajing Emperor in the 16th century. Jiajing also built three other prominent temples in Beijing, Temple of Sun (日壇) in the east, Temple of Earth (地壇) in the north and Temple of Moon (月壇) in the west.
Temple of Heaven was renovated in the 18th century under the Qianlong Emperor. By then, the state budget was insufficient, so this was the last large-scale renovation of the temple complex in imperial times.

Don't be afraid to say what you want to say or do the things you want to do. Be more afraid of the consequences of not doing so as they will accrue over your lifetime and will undermine you forever. They will undermine your faith in yourself. You're stronger than your misfortunes, turn around and confront the vulnerability of life and you will find a strength within yourself that will transcend that. Anything less than your best hurts everything.
...and there it was, a view Ive seen a hundred times on Instagram and on print, the timeless Taj Mahal is now right in front of me. As I enter the arch & approach the shimmering long ponds that leads to the white marble, the view became even more mesmerizing. It was almost impossible not to stop to take it in! It may sound like an exaggeration, but to be in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World almost blew my mind. As I learn about the history of the place, I started to get a grasp of what the monument stood for. I think I can only hope for a love as true and unconditional. If lucky, maybe once in a lifetime. 🕌🇮🇳👳🏻♂️🐪
