Taking it easy, floating along, admiring the Sunset.
Wish I had a longer telephoto here, for most of my photography I use wide angle lenses, this is shot with my 180mm Nikkor which I got mainly for Astro and its cropped quite a bit, on the limit really. I have my eye on the Tamron 150-600mm G2, any other recommendations?
Last night’s sunset would have been impossible to describe - so here’s one of the 1700 photos I took of it featuring @hannaschonberg and the incredible deep blue twinfin shaped by my friend @huggo_rayon. I remember actually being angry that the sky was so cloudy, and that ‘we’d get shitty light and no sunset’. This ended up being by far the prettiest sunset I have ever seen, exceeding any imagined expectations - and most of the magic actually happened long after the sun had set. The cloudy sky was awash with orange, pink and red hues as far as the eye could see, and the water and the sand looked like an inverted sky. I am still out of words, and might actually have to officially declare myself a sunset man in the sunrise/sunset debate. For what it’s worth, this is by far one of the least edited pictures I have ever posted.
👋 Hey friends,
Are you looking forward to summers return?
Me: I miss the warmth so much. Long walks, bike riding, and of course being out on the lake. A bucket list of fun stuff this year for the family is in the works. C'mon summer!
