This is not from ten years ago and I’m not even sure what year it was taken...
I do remember Landon feeling very grumpy about something. I remember he was unhappy and wouldn’t let me love on him.
I gave him some time, and then I did the “not cool mom” thing and attacked him with kisses. (And my Mom got a picture of it.)
Worked like a charm. 😙😙😙 .
I hope in ten more years he will embrace my hugs and kisses more than he does now, and more than he did in this photo.
I practice equality for all people, but what about every living thing - each organism that breathes the air that we breathe. My philosophy is to treat all humans, animals & plants equally. We each play an important role on this Earth. We are all crucial pieces to the puzzle. Honor everything that comes in the form of life.
An ice climber waits upon a fellow climber to reach the top of the lower falls in Johnston Canyon.
As I watched from below and marveled up at what seemed like a heroic act to me, was nothing other than a common adventure to them.
It’s interesting how we look at others in admiration and say to ourselves, “I could never do that.” We see their actions or pursuits as something grand. Unattainable to us, acheiveable for them.
But then I took a moment and thought about what feels natural for me that would garner the same admiration from them.
Scaling the side of a mountain with nothing but cleats, a harness, an ice pick and a helmet seems terrifying to me.
However, walking up to a complete stranger and asking them persmission to share their life story with me feels invigorating.
To someone else, that might seem terrryifing.
I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective, but it also serves as a teaching moment to recognize that what you do isn’t any less important than someone else.
Because what you view as a heroic act by someone else is probably how they see you too.
I almost forgot this lovely picture I took last Summer in Cornwall!
As said in the previous post I'm quite busy working on my Little business @alessandracasiraghiphotography at the Moment, so I don't really have nice new pictures at the Moment.
But I still have to retouch few selfpotraits from a session that I took last December, so... Keep an Eye on this Page in the future ;)

It’s taken a bit (and a day of desperately trying to get home during a snowstorm like the Home Alone mom) to process this, but I found out last week that I’m going to study with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes this summer in her last Singing Over the Bones storyteller training. Pinch me. Or bite me, or something.
“There is a story I will tell you,” said Uncle. “A story about the time of peace and the time of ashes, about how the young and the old learn about that which can never die.”
