A dental emergency happens when pain or swelling occurs in your teeth or gums and needs to be attended to by a dentist as soon as possible. Seeking dental assistance when this happens will improve the chances of saving the affected tooth and help prevent any permanent or costly damage. The following information will help guide you with what to do if an emergency occurs.
Can occur on any tooth/teeth and could be caused by several things which is why it is important to see your dentist very soon. In the meantime, follow these steps:
Rinse mouth with warm salt water to help clean the mouth
If there is swelling, place a cold compress on the affected side of your face
Take either paracetamol or ibuprofen to help with pain relief
An abscess is a swelling in your mouth which is filled with pus and can cause a lot of pain. They occur due to infections which can spread to other parts of the body if left untreated. Often, your local GP will prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection but this does not necessarily remove the source of the infection and you are at risk of it occurring again. See your dentist as soon as you can.

A Note For The Ladies 💎
Without excluding men as this happens to men too. Yet as women we tend to lean into more often being the nurturers, caregivers, supporters and nesters. This happens more often to the feminine. 🌸
A common theme I see amoungst many of my female clients is the struggle to put themselves first before the masculine.
Nearly all of us ladies have had a time where we allowed too much of ourselves to be given in a relationship where our own needs weren't being met. 🤦♀️
Or we take on the role as the supporter, the healer, the nurturer or the 'good woman' to compensate for a guy who is struggling. 💁
Yes, a part of loving someone includes those feminine qualities, yet there does become a point where it's not serving us anymore and only draining us. It's about balance, give & take. .
So I say - ladies, you are NOT REHABILITATION CENTRE'S for struggling men. Honour yourself and your needs first and foremost. .
I am 100% pro working through relationships and staying together. Yet if it becomes unhealthy and he won't step up - You are not going against your femininity to walk away from a man who is not serving your highest good. There are plenty of good men out there who have their shit together and are willing to hold space for a woman. In fact you will be serving his highest good and empowering him too. 👊✨ Peace! Xxx

Today we received this message from a social worker: “Last week I was able to surprise my client when she came in for her weekly session.
Her smile lit up the room when she saw the pram she had been waiting for and all the attachments. She immediately started moving her baby into the double decker & showing her little 2 year old where she could sit.
Of all the items I have given my client from St Kilda Mums, this pram is the one she has appreciated the most.
This pram gives her the flexibility to now go to the shops for longer times, and go out with her 3 children knowing the 2 year old is safe from running away. The pram is her only form of transport and storage!
She has asked if she can give her old pram to St Kilda Mums to say thank you. I said that would be a great idea.
Also, it is so nice seeing her children dressed in outfits donated to St Kilda Mums.
Another grateful family feeling seen, supported and cared for.”

A bit of Sunday humour from @fulcandles!
We actually know the abundant health benefits from rye and sourdough bread... not to mention the longer ferments and seeds. Besides, have you ever met anyone that didn’t eat carbs and thought “wow, they’re so easy going!” No? Neither have we 🤣

ST KILDA BEACH ||
On a hot Summers day in Melbourne locals and tourists alike flock to St Kilda beach to try and escape the heat and watch the sunset over Port Philip Bay.
St Kilda is a bayside suburb approximately 5km from Melbournes CBD and has plenty of trendy bars and restaurants to try along Fitzroy and Acland streets and is the home to one of the oldest amusement parks in the world in Luna Park. Highly recommend checking out St Kilda to anyone visiting Melbourne.
Have you been to Melbourne before? What did you think?
