The Scituate Reservoir’s Gatehouse is a component of the Stream Control Conduit, an essential flow regulating structure that channels water to the aqueduct. In the final photo the Gatehouse foundation is marked by a water depth that is nearly 240 feet - which demonstrates the enormous scale of this engineering feat.
• CONDOR •
Colca Canyon is famous for being one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 meters at its deepest point) and also de habitat of the great Andean Condor.
It’s not guaranteed that you will actually see a condor but chances are high at this particular spot.
Cóndores are massive birds, among the largest and heaviest that can fly; they can have a wingspan of more than 3 meters (that’s like... huge).
I arrived at the Cruz del Condor viewpoint around 8:30 am and waited there (along a million tourists).
It was amazing seeing them flying so high while being so big! It wasn’t easy to catch them on camera though :) so here just a glimpse of an Andean Condor.
• The best backdrop I had in the island from the must sought resort @santiagobaygardenandresort (@travelokaph got me covered on a very good deal!) that’s breathtaking and the only resort in the island with a backdrop of a lifetime. It is a very unique experience from day one until the sun sets. •
Enjoying Germany’s gems - what a beautiful way to start the day. Btw, this was probably the coldest water I’ve been in for a long time, I could barely breathe 😄
