Scenes from the trail — Boynton Canyon (Sedona, Arizona)
We started this walk late enough to catch a killer sunset on the way back. Also, I could NOT deal with the cacti + red rock + blue agave combo. 🌵
Our trip through Australia with @wildkiwitours had so many surprises for us 🇦🇺 like this beautiful little waterfall in the town of Katoomba 💦 (also, isn’t that just the best name for a town ever!?). We were surprised when we were able to get spots like this all to ourselves! What’s the most amazing waterfall you’ve ever seen?? Leave a comment and let us know! #wildkiwitours#sponsored
N°125. Wishing I never left this colorful wonderland.
Side note, if I paint my building yellow in NYC, would anyone mind?

This morning, just upon waking, my grandma visited me. She looked with me at a chubby, pink baby who laid wrapped in a navy blue towel, and laughed like the Buddha at the beauty and health of the baby. When I came downstairs to get my coffee, Bina was talking excitedly about her spring school concert, where she’ll be playing cello. She said she learned the notes to a song, and sang it. It’s the same song the previous owners of our house, which we bought years ago, programmed into the doorbell. And though I’ve heard it now a million times, and it’s always felt familiar, I suddenly realized where I really know it from. It’s the song that signals the Delacorte clock to start at the Central Park zoo, which my grandma brought me to see so many times. All this on the morning of what would have been her 101st birthday.
On Saturday we ventured to Brooklyn to visit the cemetery where my grandma waited 51 years to be interred. @historicgreenwood is a park unto itself, and it is the epitome of everything my grandma loved. An historical park in Brooklyn, there are so many stories among its rows. There’s a classic wooden trolley bus for tours! And a koi pond next to where her remains are kept (for my Japanophile mom, my grandma’s only child). .
We went on the Eternal Menagerie tour, and it was the most beautiful day for it, too. The azalea was in full bloom in my grandma’s signature hot pink color. Unable to leave a stone on her marker, we gave it kisses, and then went on our way. There are some things that time will never heal. But I am grateful to be so marked.
i’ve recently found that the royal mile is the best spot to take facade shots.
when there are no tourists.
which is never.
ok never mind, forget i said anything... 🤔😬

We saw some of the most incredible waterfalls during our trip through Australia 🇦🇺 You can even swim right behind this one if you want to really feel the force of the water! This time we opted to admire it from afar 😅 More to come on our adventure with @wildkiwitours! #sponsored#wildkiwitours
