Figured I’d bring back the personal account so I can post random things instead of messing up my crispy feed on my other accounts, enjoy 🤟🏼 This was from yesterday’s shoot with Michelle, can’t wait to show y’all what I got.

So I was struggling to work out how to make this weeks #sbcfanoftheweek picture fit nicely into my template... then I realised it's actually amazing just the way it came thru to me, before I rotated it! Imagine if our @stretchladder really was attached to a wall!! 😂 This weeks featured #sbcfan is Emily @egs105 who started dancing when she was 2.5 years old! Her fave colour is blue, she has a dog and 2 cats, and when she's not dancing she likes to go to the tramp park or to the beach to do some tricks on the sand with her friends! Blue is certainly your colour Emily, I'm sure you'll all agree she looks stunning in the "Be You" cropped singlet and Ocean Glow shorts by @sylviap which she purchased from us at the recent @applause.dance pop up shop! 😍 #wearingsbc#sylviap#nzstockist#stretchladder#splits#dancer#sweetblossomcandy

One last stretch series (Middle Splits) to make sure I finished all my assigned workouts for this week. Yes it’s 10pm Sunday night, and yes for a few minutes there I hid from it in some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. But, I got it done. Now let’s get some sleep and crush Monday.

Another #inversion where we need a strong leg activation. Before your mind floods with negative comments in the lines of ‘I can’t do that’, let’s study it for a couple of minutes, allow me to change your perception: one thing that surely needs to happen is that your wrists need to be strong enough to hold most of your weight on just one of them. There’s no way around that, but you can use a wall and lean on it as much as you need to, the closer to it, the more weight it’ll bear. As you go into Shoulderstand, turn the hips 30-40 degrees towards it, plant the elbow & wrist right under the sacrum and start to put weight on the hand gradually. Before it gets too much, reach one set of toes to the wall, then the other, lift the arch you're creating in the spine, a little higher (the more you do that, the lighter you’ll feel too). For this particular variant, you can extend either leg but I find it more organic to send the left leg towards the right ear as I twist to the left (exactly like in the pic). Grabbing the left foot with the opposite hand gives a chance to truly extend them and stretch hamstrings/flexors while maintaining a solid foundation on the base arm. I’ve taught this pose many times and, one thing I see consistently is that, with guidance, patience and a solid breath, people find it more accessible than they though, so, warm up those wrists thoroughly and let’s see where we get!!! More insights and tips coming up tomorrow, stay tuned, keep at it and #keeppracticing!

Today I arrived home after a week and a half family vacation. It was such an amazing time to be with some of my favorite people in my favorite place. Now that I am home, it’s back to reality and starting a new routine 😊
I am looking forward to the next chapter in life : starting my career as a TEACHER 😊 This next week will be full of decorating my classroom and getting all the teacher supplies 🍎📚
There is a delicate balance
for inspiration. It cannot be forced
otherwise it doesn’t come off
as genuine. Yet, if your eyes
are not seeking it,
inspiration won’t be found.
I’ve been taking a needed break from my phone and camera these last few days. Soaking up as much of the present moment as possible, in this beautiful state with my love and friends before it’s time to fly back home. And it’s funny how after a few needed rest days (where I wasn’t feeling inspired), my mind is open and ready to create again! I hope wherever you are in this world, that you find the balance of resting and creating that works for you! Love you, friends 😘
Dressed in my favorite comfy @aloyoga with a special thanks to my hubby for snapping this shot! ❤️❤️❤️
