“Sometimes, they say, the moon is so busy with the new souls of the world that it disappears from the sky. That is why we have moonless nights. But in the end, the moon always returns, as do we all.” ― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie
This still feels like a dream - vivid but not quite real.

Pike of Stickle
✏️ An image on the grander scale from my recent Lakes trip. I was well informed that Side Pike was an “easy” 20minute walk from the road - from there glorious evening views over the Langdale Pikes awaited. The heather was mostly past its best but I found a little tuft for some foreground interest. 📷 Shot at a narrow aperture (f/20), focussed on the far peak to get good front to back sharpness. I could’ve photo stacked but in all honesty, I forgot (it’s was getting very cold) ▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️
Fiery sunrise! It’s a strange world when apparently the US doesn’t have money for fire fighting relief but they do have money for baby jails. My heart goes out to those effected by fires in California, and the brave firefighters risking their lives to get the fires under control.
