First time hiking the Eastern Sierras in the winter. Who woulda thunk snowshoeing is immensely harder than regular hiking 😅did one of the hikes we’ve done before in the summer and we went half as far, took 3x as long, and were ravenous when we got back to the car.

This was a magical afternoon where we saw clouds for the first time in 10 days and just knew it was going to be a spectacular dusk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sunset is one of my favourite times to photograph. The changing light means a constant need to reframe views and adjust settings and yet, it’s also extremely relaxing for me.
Scenes with water are helpful, as once the sun drops below the horizon, the reflected sky helps deal with the contrast that would normally occur in the foreground 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We’ve all learned of the Sahara Desert at some point during our Elementary school tenures. But never in my life would I have ever thought I would ever step foot onto the Sahara Desert. The Sahara Desert is that dry barren spot that runs across Africa where your mouth gets dry just thinking about it! Having visited Morocco I crossed off my 6th continent! One more continent to go! ********************************************
As for the picture, shot alongside @motovation.png, the sky and foreground were both shot at f2.8, 20”, ISO 4000 @14mm and then blended together in PS. However, for the sky I manually zoomed while the shutter was open for 20”. The sky was NOT radial blurred in PS. ——————————————————————
