With two weeks til Memorial Day, you may have noticed that #condiments are everywhere in the grocery store now. Yes, part of it is the season but much of it has to do with the fact that there is so much innovation happening in condiments right now. One of the biggest trends in condiments is the introduction of more “heat”, specifically global #chiles showing up everywhere. 🌶🌶🌶 Here’s a line of #streetfood inspired condiments called Food Trk Fusion we just scouted @palmersmarket. You can find flavors like “Knock U On Your Asphalt Sauce” with #gochujang, the Korean bean paste, black garlic and spices. (Yes it does knock you on your as-phalt.)😉 There’s also KD’s Peri Peri sauce inspired by the African and Portuguese chile, Gochujang Unchained Glaze which pairs Gochujang with Sambal, an Indonesian chile, Dang ‘Jang which pairs gochujang with peach and molasses and Yo Soy La Sriracha which combines sriracha, soy and Korean chiles. There’s others as well.
This was developed in partnership with @heb, the Texas grocery chain and can be found at select specialty stores nationwide (as well as at HEB). With #summer#bbqs fast approaching, it may be worthwhile to pick up a couple different flavors to have on hand as it can be used on everything from #grilling#steaks to #burgers to shrimp skewers to dipping for fries or just about anything.
