This is important! Because I’m a survivor of abuse!’ .
“.Many women are in abusive marriages/relationships without them knowing the signs of it or that what’s happening to them is abuse. .
Some know but choose to persevere because of the benefits that comes with the relationship. .
And some think its okay because looking at where they are from, childhood, that’s what they experienced happening to their parents.
It’s not okay whatsoever.

The perfect perch for a woman smack in the middle of 7-straight-days-of-travel 💃🏼🥰

4 hours on a bus, 1 hour on another, 1 hour on a boat, 1 40 min. van transfer through #Salvador , 1 25 min. minute taxi, and I made it to the beach just in time for sunset. I ordered all the Brazilian food I would miss, and seeing as I was the only one in the restaurant, the owner and staff came out to enjoy this magnificent sunset with me. Everyone on the street stopped to watch it. All the beach-goers too 😻
Took a blogging hiatus during the busyness of #SXSW and #BigEarsKnox music festivals this month, but I’m back to it!
Currently working on a post to translate USA #FIREmovement principles and tools to an Australian context.
Spoiler alert: Australia has a lot of advantages when it comes to pursuing #financialindependence . 🇦🇺💪🏻
🗣Name a trend diet that you’re sick of hearing about! 🤢🥗🥑🍑🍵
🤔 I want to take a moment to talk about food, weight loss/gain, and body confidence. 🙏🏼 These are all topics that Instagram posts often oversimplify and glorify. Aren’t you sick of all those flat tummy tea sponsorships and influencers accrediting their skinniness to a celery juice cleanse?! 🙄 Food and dieting trends seem to promise us (particularly women) more skinny, happy, beautiful, fulfilling, sexy, healthy future... but, dammit- we are ALREADY enough! 🙌🏼💃🏻
💖 My body is mine to love and celebrate. 🙋🏻♀️ Every day, every month, and every year it changes and shifts shapes. I’m eating a new cuisine/diet EVERY month, so of course it will! 🌎 More or less, my weight fluctuates in what my doctor seems a “healthy” window. 👩🏻⚕️ Nonetheless, sometimes my butt gets fatter, my thighs more toned, my cheeks more full. 🍑🦵🏼👩🏻But I ALWAYS look and feel like myself (even in this photo, when my body is more and squishy.) 💅🏼
🌱 To me, dieting is about adopting lifelong healthy food habits. 💚 The goal should not be to get skinny but rather to FEEL HEALTHY! I’m sure there are plenty of thin folks who are incredibly unhealthy. 🍔🌭🍗 I’m being hypocritical here, because this is obviously an oversimplification. 🤦🏻♀️
👀 If you’ve read this far, then I guess I’m just trying to tell you that you are enough. 💖🙏🏼 No flashy Instagram post about a fad diet will have the secrets to a “skinnier you.” Sometimes we need to feel gratitude and comfort in the genetic lottery we ended up with, while also taking agency to eat in a way that makes us feel healthy and good. ❤️😘

[ad]🌝NEW BLOG POST and a #nomakeup Yari🌝
Because today I bring you the afterglow of a @blowltd at-home facial treatment. In between all of this month’s mad travel, I squeezed in an epic beauty experience, all from the comfort of my own home 🏠🛏 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which is basically a self-care dream come true for a busy female traveller. Or, you know, just a busy woman. Which is, um, basically all of us 👩🏻💼👩🏻💻💼
So if you’re looking to treat yourself, and then dodge the masses on the Tube in your post-massage zombie state🧟♀️, then my latest blog post is for you. Link in bio, as always☝🏼🧖🏻♀️🌸
Nerd time. Although Amsterdam has so much to offer and such a beautiful landscape, my favorite part of my trip was the @micropia_amsterdam microbiology museum! Heres my proud mama moment with a TARDIGRADE 🧸followed by the 💯 agar 🧫plates with streaks/cultures of beautiful bacteria 🦠

I absolutely could not continue on without introducing you guys to my absolute favourite part of CPH: Christiania, also known as Freetown Christiania.
Christiania is a community in the Christianshavn borough in Copenhagen. I walked to it from the Christianshavn subway stop (amazing transportation in this city btw, even being all in Danish).
Freetown Christiania does not consider themselves a part of Denmark or the EU (hence the sign in my second picture, leaving the community). I only have pictures of the outside, as photos/video aren't allowed inside (if you do take pics, be respectful and discrete). This was the most relaxing and peaceful place I had seen in the city. I truly cannot wait to come back to Christiania 🤙🏻🇩🇰
The National Gallery of Victoria has some stunning Haute Couture in their International building on St Kilda Rd right now. It’s only a 5 minute walk from Flinders Street Train Station in Melbourne, Australia.
These are two Alexander McQueen designs. He was such a genius in design and so unique in what he thought up. Unfortunately he was consumed with demons and took his own life in 2010 😢
The exhibition, The Krystyna Campbell-Pretty Fashion Gift, is a microcosm of the world of haute couture and Parisian fashion from the late nineteenth century to the twenty-first century. It’s free to enter and runs from now until 14th July 2019

Knock, knock, knockin’ onnnnnn the Royal Palace of Fez’ doooooor! 👸🏼🤴🏽
While I’ve been told the 80 hectares of the Royal Palace are divine, they’re not open to the public. Instead, you can marvel at the beautiful brass doors, surrounded by carved cedar wood and colourful mosaic tilework.
The gates date back to the 17th century, and are one of the few places in Fez that aren’t drowning in tourists and locals alike. Catch a taxi for 10MAD (80p) from central Fez to this picture perfect spot. 📷 #livewithelle
Last views (for now) of #Queenstown after a great night of going up on the skyline gondola and luge-ing (is that a term? Who knows! 🤷♀️) And Can I just say, that sunset was out of this world. Looked like someone spewed cotton candy all over the skies... in the best way possible!
At the lowest point on Earth...
The Dead Sea is located at 420 meters BELOW sea level... that is insane.. you wouldn't say so when you are driving in the region... it just looks as any other lake area. ~ Yes LAKE, the Dead sea is not a real sea, but a very very VERY salty lake. So salty, there are no fish nor plants in it...therefore the "dead" part 💀
‼️Attention! Is anyone here from NYC or will be there April 2nd?? Let me know in DM or tag somebody you one in NYC here below!! ~Looking for company during my layover ✌️

With this scenery and all the hammocks and swings set up in the water, the lagoon next to cenote cocalitos is no doubt one of the most popular spots in Bacalar!
Go there before 11am if you don’t want to queue for photos, after that hour, well, you probably gonna see all the foreigners in Bacalar united there 😉
After all, it’s not a bad place to have a cold beer isn’t it?

When I visited Siem Reap last month, me and my friend decided to visit Angkor Wat the last few hours before we left (FYI: bad idea, you should probably get Angkor Wat out of the way in the beginning of your trip and spend the whole day!) Anyways, we headed there around 3pm where we waited in line for tickets, surrounded by a lot of Asian tour groups. Our tuk-tuk driver took us to Angkor Wat and we spent a little over an hour there. It was really beautiful and quite enormous, extremely hot out, and also very crowded (which was to be expected!) As beautiful as it was, I visited the temples in Bagan, Myanmar last year and think I preferred it a lot more considering there were hardly any tourists!
Have you been to Angkor Wat or plan on going? What were your thoughts on it?
Side note: I took a lot of pictures when I was at Angkor Wat, but after my phone got stolen a week later, I only had FIVE photos saved from that day and this was the only decent one😢
