Park City Showcase of Homes 2108.. This exterior is one for the books! Colors used- Aloof Gray and Rare Gray from Sherwin Williams. Stone was dry stacked real stone and a custom blend. We went black on the roof and windows, but kept the soffit and fascia light which gives a very clean look. Black modern Garage doors, horizontal railing, and decking that looks like large concrete panels- finish off this amazing house off! ❤️ the fire pit in the entry!! Views and coziness for days! Great work @hollimanexteriors

Want a sneak peek at some of my Halloween styling? I’m editing photos as we speak and am excited to draft a beautifully spooky post... but let’s get real- not too spooky👻. I’d rather display all my weird collections & curiosities. Who else loves Halloween? It’s also my birthday, so maybe that’s why I’m into it. Regardless, FALL IS HERE🙌🏼

Today was a high of 70^ and the gloomy, fall day made me so happy. Here’s a shot of the studio, which we will eventually turn into a guest quarter by adding a bathroom, closet, and balcony. That will be a fun project because I won’t have to live in the mess during construction!
It’s not even lunchtime yet but I already want to crawl into a scalding hot bath until bedtime. 🛀

Park City Showcase Homes 2018- Other Bedrooms, and Basement theatre/family Rooms. One important part of starting a project is really knowing who your client is. If the home is for sale, that becomes a little more tricky because your client is unknown, and instead you are trying to create something that appeals to the masses. The key to doing this is three things- cohesiveness of spaces, simplicity, and a neutral palette. If the home has motifs, textures, colors and product selections carried in multiple places throughout the home, you are creating cohesiveness. Simplicity is created by being true to a style, but not overdoing finish details and crazy design features. And a neutral palette will allow many end users to envision their own personal items and story to come to life in the home. The key is just ensuring that your palette works well together. There are so many different grays, whites and tans. Doing the wrong ones together creates a scheme that just feels off and will not help your cause in selling the home. As you will notice from all the pictures of this home- all three of these things exist. The result is an amazing home with design features that make sense, a color palette that is neutral and livable, and spaces that flow from room to room to room!! All in all, completely FAB! 😍
Bunk Room Park City Showcase of Homes 2018- Bunk Rooms are all the rage right now. And honestly, wouldn’t you love to be a kid and get to stay in this room?? What a party! The design of these Bunk Beds follows the theme of the rest of the home. We used the cuts from the T & G ceiling in the kitchen/dining to inset in these finish shadow boxes. (What a great way to use left over material right?) The Metal is the same used in the interior railing, flowing the entry space into this one.. I think this space turned out pretty fab!

Park City Showcase of Homes 2018 Great Room- one of my favorite spaces in the home is this one... those windows, that fireplace, the beams, the lighting... seriously Love! This fireplace was tricky. I originally wanted to completely customize the box so that we could have a completely open box. However, The City had codes that I had to comply with 🙄- rules! Anyway- we had been using an amazing fireplace called the Georgian 50, for other homes in the project. It is an open face fireplace and burns either logs or gas. The trick came because it is pretty traditional and has a square box. My solution- bring the pre-cast down so that the box became linear and then I had a metal pan custom made to fit the bottom and changed the burner so it Ran linear- I added these amazing ivory stones, and like magic- this fireplace was transformed... And don’t even talk about the killer concrete panels that go to the ceiling, and the concrete hearth. That just finishes the WOW factor!! I can just imagine the snow falling now!! ❄️ Builder: @ebuildershomes photographer: @allisonrniccum#interiordesign#itsallinthedetails#custombuild

It’s Friday and my master bedroom is the only room that’s been dusted this week. I call it a win.
Any PTA parents out there?! As a mom of a kindergartener I’ve somehow managed to become the PTA President of our local elementary school! I’m so excited but have no idea what I’m doing OR what I’ve gotten myself into!!! Looking for advice! Please share! This is a detail of Tropical Menagerie” which has nothing to do with my PTA news but it’s just something pretty to share for the weekend! It’s intended for a wallpaper or fabric repeat! Original is available on my website!

Friends, Friday is upon us. 🙌🙌🙌 Let’s celebrate with a rug in kitchen moment. This gorgeous (and nearly square - 4’x4’8”) antique Kurdish is beautifully distressed, with a floppy hand and has been restored for another lifetime of use. Shop link in profile.
Doing some painting tonight (translates to watching my husband painting) and am excited to see how it turns out. Went balls out with the samples and still not sure so I only bought enough for one of the guest rooms in case the color is too yellow (BM Simply White). I’ll story it tomorrow in the daylight so you can let me know what you think! In the meantime, I’ll just reminisce the days of living in a “finished” home.
