Tuesday nights are usually for playing and catching up on the latest episode of 'Who Chewed Up the Mat in the Kitchen,' but lately we've been into burying our faces in blankets and giving a wicked side-eye.
As soon as one girl wakes up, the other is ready for a mini nap. Love it when they fall asleep. Period. It's even better when they fall asleep on me, it warms my heart 💕 It works out perfectly that they take turns napping on me because now that they are so big, I can't fit both of them on my chest. I'm still able to carry/hold both girls at the same time, so I'm gonna enjoy my ability to do so, as long as possible 🤗🤗
Was I excited to wake up with you at 5:15? The short answer is no. The long answer is that somewhere between you burying your face in my neck and accidentally karate kicking me in the face and resting your warm little hand against my lips for a kiss and wiggling INCESSANTLY, it became clear that being awake with you was a fair trade for the next level Laina cuddling I’ll one day miss.
But I mean, only because Starbucks exists.

My little foot warmer from a year ago. Looking back, he had started to become extra snuggly those last few months. This was about two months before he passed. So he definitely had the heart tumor here. But that didn’t stop him from running and playing.... lil boo never acted “sick” til the end . I think my only sign was that he was a little extra cuddly .... I didn’t know that that was a sign though . ❤️ miss this crazy sweet lil thang
It was about this time last year that I had my first eye removed. Some of you have asked how small I was then, well here is a photo! I was just 330g of tiny fluff. We tried to wait until I was bigger but my eye began to rupture so I had to have emergency surgery. This was me recovering at home the following day with extra cuddles from Mama ❤️
