The last couple "I have nothing planned today" moments. The first couple pictures is Three Creek Lake, west of Sisters Oregon. Happened across it by accident when I went to ride mountain bike and decided to just keep following the road till it ended. It was at the top of a mountain where the snow was still deep, and it was beautiful.
The last picture, Smith Rock, was today. Renonwned for its rock climbing, I decided last second to go there today just to see it, and when I got there I realized all the trails were bike friendly so I rode down and then back up the other side and I'm not gonna lie...it sucked. The trails really weren't mountain biking trails...they were hiking trails that happened to allow bikes. But the views and the scenery was stupendous. #vanlife#vanliving#oregon#mountainbiking#mtb#smithrockstatepark#threecreekslake
Well, at 100° they don’t call it Misery Ridge for nothing. I nearly stepped on and was almost bitten by a rattlesnake that I hurtled over. My tripod quickly became a harpoon, hah. I tried to warn a man, but his dog was bitten a few minutes later. Go vaccines, the dog was thankfully immune. Helped 15 others avoid being bitten. Nonetheless, a fantastic stop in the PNW and a great kickoff to summer exploring
A big thanks to my awesome family - @email@example.com for showing me the ropes! You guys are such incredible and inspiring people.
And thank you for the awesome camera angle that makes me look like I'm 100 feet off the ground when in reality it was about 6
One unique thing about being in Central Oregon is the big airplane overflights while they’re en route to either San Francisco or Los Angeles. In this case, a big Lufthansa A380 from Frankfurt to San Francisco had me nerd out for a few minutes. This is cropped tight (obviously) but a fairly clean capture for being 35,000ft above me...

And just like that I go from what feels like being the busiest person in the world to having all the free time I could imagine! Just finished year 1 of college yesterday, and now it’s time for a summer full of adventures! I’m beyond stoked for what’s coming 🤘🏼 On the subject of the photo to me this feels like something out of Yosemite. If anyone’s visiting here I’d highly recommend watching sunrise from this spot. Watching the shadows disappear really is something magical, and I got the blog post up explaining everything I did here! #smithrockstatepark#oregon#beautifuldestinations#sunrise#theoutbound#roadtrip
We admired the athleticism and bravery of the climbers @smithrockstatepark and enjoyed the soft glow of the afternoon sun.
You can walk on a paved path and view from above (like this photo) or travel along the base looking up at those ascending and descending the rock face.
Definitely worth a visit!
