Time management is a great skill. You are the manager of your day. You have more control over your day than you think. We have all been deeply and thoroughly programmed to believe that we MUST pack as much into each day as possible. Even good things and things you enjoy can become items on a checklist. There are only 24hrs in a day. It is okay to slow down, it is okay to take a day of to simply just BE. When you practice enjoying everything single moment of every single day as much as you can then you will not need to feel the social pressure of being busy or having a full social calendar to validate yourself or prove that you are not “ lazy” or “unmotivated” or not desired company. Quality over quantity. If you know deep down in your Spirit that you are doing all that you can ( without pushing yourself to the breaking point) then what society thinks is irrelevant.
Since I will be subbing most #Wednesday nights for the next few weeks @asanacharlestown I don’t have any days off, not complaining I love my job, and some days I only teach 1 or 2 classes, so no I’m not working 9-5 7 days a week. A friend & I found an hour this past week to catch up & decompress a bit over a shared to do list.

I don't know how to be consistent.
I'll post not at all in three weeks & then three days in a row.
I don't know how to create 'continuity' in my grid.. These little squares change colour as the world around me changes colour.
I don't know how to have something to say when I'm empty.. I only know how to rest in the emptiness, openness, receptiveness.
Sometimes I wish I was more inclined to be strategic, but these days I'm not really sure what I'm here to achieve anyway.
True to my extememely vata + aquarian nature, my whole life is an inconsistency.
So I promise never to 'show up' for the sake of some weird self emposed social media guilt about lack of consistency or presence.
I promise you'll only see me here when I truly feel the impulse to share. I don't promise it will be valuable or profound... But I do promise it will be heartfelt and me ❤️ thank you for being with me ❤️

You will never see anything grow more quickly than your children do. It happens right before your eyes, but you don’t see it - not until one day when you wake up and notice how big they’ve gotten; how their once tiny newborn foot is now almost the size of your hand; how heavy they’ve gotten in your arms. *
So hold them when they want to be held.
Listen to them when they want to talk to you.
Read them one more bedtime story.
Everything else... it can wait.
Your children can’t. Every day, they will be just a little bit bigger, and you never know when it will be the last time that they ask you read them a story before bedtime, or when they ask you to pick them up for a hug. *

will only seem tomorrow when they’re 10 years older. *

Hustle: that has become the new norm. Running around trying to get the kids to school, making sure work deadlines are met, what’s for dinner, when is that bill due? Who liked my post on Facebook, where did she get that dress, who won the football game? •
We continue to run a mile a minute, focused only on ourselves. I’m guilty. I live in my own little bubble of chaos. But, what the world has come to is more technology, more hustle, less focus, less mindfulness, less connection. •
Monday’s are notorious for having a bad reputation. Whatever your reason is for hating Monday, I’m sure it’s valid. So, to give yourself a tiny glimmer of hope for the day... one moment you know will automatically make you feel good. Would you take the time to do it? •
A small compliment to the lady in the gas station, paying it forward by gifting a coffee to the person behind you at Starbucks, a conversation with someone who is also waiting in line at the grocery store. A connection, a genuine connection. •
Anymore the most connecting we do is through Instagram and Facebook. Text messages or snapchats. There are two things in this world you have complete control over... your attitude and your effort. Imagine how much better your day would be if you knew your positive attitude and your effort had an impact? Be that person, MAKE an impact. Make someone else’s day, because I bet you... it makes yours too.

Quando dico che il cinema e i libri mi hanno insegnato quasi tutto, non mento. Non si tratta di nozioni. Film e libri, e oggi qualche serie tv, hanno sparso briciole di sogni, di inquietudine e di grandi verità nel mio quotidiano. Io al momento sto leggendo Outsider del mio amato Stephen King, ho finito You, su Netflix, che mi ha fatto pensare tanto, e che va decisamente vista per capire in che razza di tempi viviamo (e perché New York dall’alto in ogni puntata vale da sola la pena), e sto seguendo The Kominsky Method che mi fa ridere e piangere una volta a puntata.

This morning I awoke with an overwhelming sense of my to Do list!!! Intense anxiety and overwhelmed!!My mind was chasing its never ending tail....🙈🐒 so I called curve ball on that Mother Fucker and opted out of the important should do/be- making a conscious magical choice for nature, nurture time with a dear Sister, it took time from when she messaged me to realize, I was stuck in a pattern... Trusting I could come back to what needed to be done with fresh eyes and energy! I jumped into a whole new experience!
