What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical method of exfoliating the skin. This is a non-surgical method of skin rejuvenation. It works by using a superior vacuum and a specially designed hand piece to exfoliate the layers of the stratum corneum using aluminium oxide crystals.
The fine micro-particles being blasted across the face by a kind of skin vacuum cleaner to help improve the texture and appearance of your skin.
It is a non -invasive mild treatment causing minimal damage and designed to improve the overall texture, tone and clarity of the skin. The combination of skin exfoliation and vacuum stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new and healthy cells in the basal layer of the epidermis.
This leads to cell turnover, an improved blood flow and skin rejuvenation. The microdermabrasion will smooth out the skin leaving it fresh and regenerating new skin cells. The process also encourages the production of collagen and helps treat early signs of aging.
At Aesthetics Bristol you are trained to the highest standards so you can qualify with a recognised accreditation and get your very own machine to use at home or in your salon.

The glow-getting 30 minute facial. Using a specialised machine to pass a fine jet of abrasive crystals over the skin, a SkinBase Microdermabrasion facial sloughs away dead skin cells, excess oil and grime to reveal a fresh new layer of skin. Dead skin cells absorb light and can cause the skin to look dull and grey. These cells can also mix with excess oil and settle in the pores, causing blockages that can lead to blackheads and spots. Microdermabrasion gently but effectively exfoliates all of this away. #SkinBase#jadorebeautyrooms

Tip no. 1 - Remember to take your makeup off. No one wants to wake up with panda eyes like Ozzy Osborne, so start as you mean to go on and remove your makeup before you hit the hay – regardless of how much you really can’t be bothered! Sleeping in your makeup can result in exposure to free radicals. These can break down collagen in the skin and lead to long-term sagging, wrinkles and premature ageing – is it really worth it for that extra five minutes effort? #skinbase#microdermabrasion#tropicskincare
