Alina and I finished up this playroom this morning! 💙
We replaced an old changing table with some more cube shelving to provide more storage, and put some picture ledges up in the walls to display small items. 💙
This client did a fantastic job culling down the extra, and letting things go that had served their time. 💙
Swipe for some before and after, and see our stories!
Confession: this used to be me.
I loved to find a bargain. It was like a game or a competition to see how little I could pay for something or what I could find at a “great price.” But I promise you, IT IS NOT A GOOD DEAL IF YOU DIDN’T NEED IT!
Now I only go to the store if I actually need something. I try to be honest with myself and ask if I could do without it. I’m not perfect, and I usually grab something that wasn’t on the list but I’ve come a long way!
I feel content with what we have and I am so grateful that we have everything that we NEED. LESS shopping means less STUFF that we don’t need in our home and MORE quality TIME spent together. And it means MORE money in our pocket 😉
Wondering what to do with cards, kids art & other papers you switch up often?? Try removable wall clips. I dressed up these @commandbrand clips with some washi tape (it's the perfect width) to display postcards without the commitment of a nail hole. This could be super fun to dress up for the holidays!! #tipoftheday
YOU Are The Creator And Visionary
YOU are ultimately responsible for any success or failure you experience.
YOU are responsible for every situation that you experience.
The awesome book 'Extreme Ownership' by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin is an incredible way to learn how to understand the concept of fully accepting and embracing that we are responsible.
Take the Extreme Ownership approach, apply it in all areas of your life and you will be amazed at the impact it will have on the direction and progress in your life.
I used to have so many clothes, I’d have to squeeze the hangers in just to fit another shirt. I had clothes for days and probably wore not even half of them because I couldn’t find it. Over time, I’ve learned to pay attention to how I search for things and organize accordingly. On the blog I’m sharing one of the BEST ways to organize your clothes. Link in bio! #closetorganization#clothes
Too many balls in the air? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m heading home after a wonderful break. I’m rested, my heart is full (so is my belly) and I’ve had a lot of fun. I’ve also put some things off to make room for all that fun. I’ll get to that when I get home” has been on repeat for the last ten days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even with a book deadline, overflowing inbox, the holidays and other things on my list, I won’t rush, sacrifice sleep or compromise my health to keep all the balls in the air. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you try to juggle everything, you can’t enjoy anything. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I plan to enjoy the rest of the year.

New favourite quote. I love this so much. And it makes sense, right?
I think often we’re afraid of fighting too hard for something because we might fail. We try to protect ourselves from the wounds associated with failure.
But failing is a result of having a go, of trying.
And trying = progress. Always.

It was fun to work with Mr. Nomadic yesterday. We took the back flashers out and sealed up the holes. We are going to keep the front ones in and turn them into spot lights. That's a project for another day.
It's still Dressember and I was totally wearing a dress working on the bus.😉
Couldn’t sleep in my excitement for another fun day of organizing! 🙌🏼 I know, I’m weird, but this is my JAM! Looking forward to adding in some helpful organization bins from @thecontainerstore for my client’s desk & kids’ spaces today!! ❤️ But first...caffeine & breakfast from @thekbakery ☕️🥯🍳

Jared always explains things in terms of Love vs Fear. If you dig deep enough, everything boils down to these two forces or motives. I came across this quote in a book by @paulangone and figured that he and @jaredcapello were long lost besties! 😜
I use questions like this to SIMPLIFY the potentially overwhelming feelings and thoughts that pop up often. It’s become a natural way for me to answer those pesky “why” questions too. As @tonyrobbins always says, maybe a breakthrough can come from simply asking yourself a better question?! •
Even though this idea has proven true in my own life, I love hearing what other lenses are helpful for you! Give me your ideas on this in the comments! 👇🏼 #perfectlovecastsoutfear#loveoverfear#askyourself#trysomethingnew#simplify
I used to have my tree up and my house fully decorated before Thanksgiving. And then I had the hardest time parting with the coziness of everything, so it was almost mid-January when it all came down.
Whether it was hitting 40 and beyond, or something else, I've now become that person who boxes everything up a couple of days after Christmas, and down to the basement it goes.
Which person are you? The leave it as long as possible type, or the box it up type?

When your client tells you she wants to take her pantry game on to a whole other level, you make a happy dance ✨💃🏻
We wanted a space that’s not only organized and categorized, but a little bit of a showstopper too ✨
And I’m tickled pink we were able to make the vision a reality ✨

As Muslims...we believe in Jesus (Issa in Arabic). However, we believe that he is a prophet like other prophets before him. He is mentioned in the Quran as many as 25 times.
We believe in the miraculous conception, when Archangel Gabriel (Jibreel) gave the news to Mary (Maryam) that she is to carry a very special baby who is to be a prophet .
We believe in the virgin birth (however there is no Joseph around and no stable, manger or little donkey). We believe in his many miracles that were to help him guide people back to God and though many rejected him, many did follow.
He is very important to us as Muslims, as well as the other prophets, including Moses (Musa), John the Baptist (Yahya), David (Daoud), Solomon (Sulaiman), Jonah (Yunus), Joseph (Yusuf) and Abraham (Ibrahim). An infographic will be in my next post with some more info too.
