@blackpug_berlin’s prawn burger had me dreaming of it since the first time I ordered it. To celebrate the sun coming out for a few glorious days ☀️, I went for another round of this beauty 🍤 for 16€, you get a gigantic shrimp patty in a black burger bun with wakame and baby leaf salad, rounded off with mango-crème sauce 🥭 and paired with a (seemingly) never-ending bowl of French fries 🍟 the burger is utterly delicious - the ingredients just all work together! Whoever came up with this combination is a genius 🤤 definitely one of my favourite burgers ever! And shoutout to the super nice and helpful staff 🙌🏼 #HungryDianaTakesBerlin
What’s one thing you’re doing to improve your health right now? Hint: ours involves this cheerful SHRIMP & Grapefruit Salad 🦐😍
I didn’t make any resolutions for the new year, but Danny and I did make some GOALS, one of them being to eat seafood once per week. We mostly chose this goal to increase our protein diversity, challenge ourselves to cook new recipes, and to, of course, reap the benefits of more healthy fats in our diets.
Seeing as we’re halfway through January, it might be a good time to check in if you also made New Years goals- is what you’ve set out to accomplish REALISTIC? Notice when making this goal we didn’t say to just eat MORE seafood, we chose a specific number of days/servings that we felt would be possible for us. Have you set yourself up for SUCCESS by being specific and realistic?
To help accomplish our goal, I’m looking for ways to include seafood that are EASY, don’t cost too much, and TASTE delicious. This salad checked all the boxes!
Save this recipe for later if you’re goals are to eat more seafood, cook dinner for 2 in less than 10 minutes, and to feel more amazing 🙌
1️⃣ Season 10 shrimp with ancho chili powder (customize according to spice preferences of you and boo). Sauté until golden on both sides.
2️⃣ Make a salad base with mesclun greens, thinly sliced red onion, add slices of avocado, and 2-3 grapefruit slices. Add cooked shrimp.
3️⃣ Finished with a drizzle of EVOO, a squeeze of lime, and sprinkle of flaky sea salt
Forrest's Seafood Feast.
Gobbling on Mama Blue's fried shrimp, hand battered fish and chips, seafood hush pups served w fries + homemade dippin sauces (tartar, cocktail + remoulade). Apparently, it's Forrest's fav meal on the boat.
The tartar sauce, gosh, that was good... not too acidic. The cocktail sauce was also not bad, seeing that I usually won't reach out for it when eating seafood. The battered fish was nicely and thinly battered, not filled with flour batter and a tiny bit of fish. The shrimps and the seafood hush pups were a good compliment to the whole plate.. the hush pups (which I thought was like fish cake or so..) was actually a deep fried cornmeal dumplings.. soft doughy inside w a crispy coating outside.
Is Keto Bang Bang Shrimp 🍤 a real thing? Yep, it sure is! I kept this grain-free & no sugar added by making my own easy sweet chili sauce & using a coconut flour based breading 🙌🏾🤤🙌🏾 The recipe is 👉🏾 & in my story! 🙋🏾♀️ Tag someone who you’d eat this with! 😁
