By May, several Mughal rulers of Anandpur kept their forces under siege for 6 months. They thought that as the supplies will end, the Sikhs will surrender. One night, on ignorance of the Mughals, Guru Gobind Singh flew out with all his colleagues towards Sirsa river but were soon followed. By the time the Sikhs reached the river, it was flooded. They were in a fix. They took a quick decision, some Sikhs crossed the river along with horses, while some stayed to fight the Mughals. Only 40 survived.

Take opportunities when it presents itself even if you're not dressed for it 😂. Happy to be apart of helping my church with this Angel Tree Program. Growing up as a kid multiple organizations like Angel Tree & Grandma's House use to be in contact with Prisoners that wasn't apart of their kids lives due to being incaracterated. 5 years of my childhood from age 5-10, I was blessed to have strangers give toys to me when my momma couldn't. Knowing I haven't seen her all year for the past year and probably talked to her once a year only on my birthday from being able to get that gift every Christmas that said "From: Mom" felt special to me. To me it was always deeper than a toy, it was her presence & love right there in my hands at that moment. This is the season of giving, hopefully this inspires someone else to lean a hand or give something small that will become something gianormes for that kid that feels alone this holiday cuz their parent can't physcially be there with them.
Absolutely love rust and the rainbow of colours that occur from oxidized metal.
Do you see the colours I see?
Blues, purples, reds, green, browns, gold, and white. Rust is such a gorgeous material.
This lightswitch cover was picked up at Tommy Thompson park which is a man-made island spit that narrowly stretches out into the lake on Toronto's East end. Great place to hike because it's a gorgeous home to a variety of birds that are never seen in the city due to it's seclusion. A really remarkable place and my favorite park here because of it's unique landscape. The beaches are full of eroded bricks, rubble, and decades old metal scrap that protrudes from the ground at random places. If you have read some of my other posts you would understand why I enjoy such a place...nature eroding built materials...my thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this drawing I used white acrylic paint coupled with a white charcoal pencil to create the highlights.
I'm improving with each practice, learning, and through learning I'll teach those that follow my practicing.
That's important to me.
Primo 59-W charcoal pencil, Chinamarker, Copic 0.03 black liner, Derwent procolour pencils, Graphite powder, Windsor & Newton white acrylic paint.
