Sailing down massive fjords on an Arctic summer night such as this has a way of making one feel very humble. . While at the same time allowing you to feel as if you have stepped out of a time machine 10000 years in the past. A truly magical experience. Shot on assignment with @oneoceanexp
I counted as many as 20 individual fish in the beaks of puffins that were returning to feed their chicks on Machias Seal Island in the Bay of Fundy. I thought that was impressive, but I guess the highest ever recorded is 62! Seabirds rely heavily on forage fish, small fish species that are critical to the health of marine ecosystems. Research has revealed that species like herring and capelin are worth far more in the ocean, as prey for higher value commercial fish species, than they are as direct catch. @sealegacy@ilcp_photographers
The peaks of the Rockies hold a special place in my heart, when I moved to Calgary home felt like a world away. Driving out to Banff and being surrounded by mountains was always such a comfort! This aerial sunrise is one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had in the mountains, happy International Mountain Day everyone! #MountainsMatter
Went out with this lumberjack to cut down a Christmas tree a few days ago 🎄
We didn’t find the perfect tree, but that’s alright. It just gives us another excuse to go out and explore again this weekend 😊

Gotta have those hats... maybe from now on every photo I post will have these hats 🤷🏻♂️
Stopping to soak it all in.
Of the places I've traveled, Yukon during the fall season is an all-time favourite. Colourful landscape, snow in the mountains and the chance of northern lights each night makes for the perfect combination.
In 2019, I'll be offering tours to some of my favourite locations across Canada, like the incredible Yukon. If interested in receiving additional information about these trips as info becomes available, simply send me a message with your email to ensure you're the first to know when registration opens for each small group tour!
It is looking a lot like Christmas at the T. Ernst Christmas tree farm, Mahone Bay NS.

I love the warmth of the low light during the winter months. We spent hours and hours on the trails at @littleretreatintheforest where the sun lit up the forest all day long. Forest bathing and sunbathing at the very same time. 🌞🌲

On my last post where I photographed the cabin at Lake Louise, the sky was pretty plain for my standards, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed a ton of colour exploding on the reflection on the water. I turn around and lo and behold, the sky above the Fairmont was on fire! I hustled over to the open water and took this photo from a perspective that I had never done before. Moral of the story- scan your surroundings always. They might surprise you! 📸Nikon D7500 @nikoncanada#nikon_canada
