🆘 Neck Treatment Session 🆘
Neck and shoulder pains are common occurrences these days and we treat them on a daily basis. This can often be attributed to poor posture, carrying single-sided bags and desk bound work. Lack of movement is often the major cause and this results in a stiff or sore neck that affects your day.
In this video, we aim to reduce muscle tension while increasing range of motion. This is done via joint articulation, manipulation and soft tissue work. Putting the joints back in neutral will help take the strain off and put you in a better position to enjoy your day☀️!

Deciding to take a little break from CrossFit style training for a while and go back to a body part training split type of program focusing on strength, size and proportions.
Haven’t trained like a body builder in almost 2 years, to be honest I started to find it quite boring after training that same way for over 16 years - back 1 day, chest another day etc...
High intensity CrossFit style metcons are still my favourite way to train and has got me the fittest I’ve ever been but i find it taxing on the body and can be hard to fit in other sports around it.
I’m still a firm believer that prioritising overall fitness levels and performance output over looks and aesthetics is still the way forward.
But keen to mix things up for a bit and get stronger in my weakest areas.
Carrying around old injuries for ages is just annoying, boring and tiring.
Your training and exercise routine should be having a positive effect on your overall quality of life, not the opposite.

Being glamorous is about strength and confidence. To find the fluidity and beauty in each move helps to improve my own aesthetic. I find it easier to express myself through movement and poses plus it gives me more confidence in myself and in helping others to achieve their goals.

Jenny, our Irish Osteopath has been working in Asia for over 5 years - Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka before joining us on her return to Singapore in May.
She previously worked as a Sport Rehabilitation Therapist in London for 12 years working with boxing clubs, semi-professional football teams and running clubs. Who says couples can't train together? In this video, a partner suitcase deadlift is being performed.
The taller person usually has to hinge back further and take a wider stance during the setup due to the difference in limb length.
If one can recognize the movement, it's a methodical approach of lifting something off the ground. Think shopping bags of groceries!
This version of the deadlift doesn't just hits the ipsilateral (same) side of your quads, lower back and forearms.
More importantly, it challenges your balance and puts your glute medius (usually weak) on fire. Training doesn't always have to be boring, there's always room for creativity and fun

😣Unable to reach behind your back after doing a lot of planks, push ups, overhead and bench presses and/or bicep day?
Don't forget to stretch your anterior/front deltoid and/or biceps! 💪
The anterior deltoid is just next to your biceps. They both share the same function of flexing your shoulder forward. When stretching one, you inevitably stretch the other. However, there is a way to bias one from the other and that is by changing your grip.😎
⚠️As usual, if you recently sprained your shoulder or have severe pain with shoulder movements, do exercise caution with trying out exercises over zealously as it may make your current injury worse. Please go get professional help for that!

I often get asked what’s the best way of loosing weight.
People always think that they can’t loose weight without cardio training. Well, the good news is that you CAN loose body fat without excessive cardio!! Lifting weights will help you get your dream body! It’s important to remember that the more lean muscle you have, the more fat you’ll be burning and your body will get toned nicely. So don’t be shy and add resistance training to your fitness regime, and you should be seeing results soon!
As per cardio, instead of long and tiring cardio sessions, focus on high intensity interval training (treadmill sprints, body weight HIIT, Bicycle tabata etc etc). It’s short duration but extremely effective in helping with that stubborn body fat! 2-3 times a week will be just fine, alternate with resistance workout.
Remember, consistency and hard work is the key in achieving your body goals! 💪🏻💪🏻

Some of you may already know this, but for those of you who don’t, here’s what I’ve to say 🗣⠀
Whenever you see a photo of someone looking lean and mean with six packs bulging, they DO NOT look that way 24/7. Don’t put yourself through unnecessary stress/pressure, and succumb to extreme means just to attain that “dream body”. ⠀
They’re either ..⠀
- flexing for the photo ⠀
- getting good lighting ⠀
- posing at certain angles ONLY ⠀
- OR preparing for an event, photoshoot, pageant, bodybuilding competition⠀
NEVER 🙅🏻♂️ compare yourself to anybody, trust the process, be patient, experiment with your training and also learn/understand what works for YOU‼️⠀
With consistency comes results. It will not work out otherwise. Trust me, I’ve been there⠀
