Those of you who want just one little thing to help you look and feel like the best version of yourself (not like the wearing-makeup version of yourself), this is it: @kosascosmetics Tinted Face Oil. (Torn between two shades? Test both through our Custom Sample Service.)
After Friday’s Vogue Knitting Live marketplace session, my friend and I grabbed dinner at @hopwatersf. This was the first time I had their food, and it was really good! We got the Dungeness crab tater tots to start, which weren’t quite how we pictured them but they were delicious. We had imagined tater tots with some crab thrown on top but these were more like mini crab cakes. Good amount of crab too. We split our two sandwiches so we could try both. Added avocado to the rock cod sandwich, and that sando tasted healthy and fresh. We also got the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich; really liked the use of chimichurri. The steak fries that came with the sandwiches were perfect. Hopwater has a great beer selection although I didn’t imbibe this time bc I was headed to a friend’s farewell party (he’s moving back to LA, booo) at City Beer afterwards.
Check out for food reviews! Link in profile.

San Francisco ✨ The city of golden light and people who work at Facebook. Travel has always been a huge source of inspiration for me (seriously, for everyone). So much of my work has been shaped by places I’ve visited. Now that I’m based in one city — I’ve found renewed appreciation for travel, how it expands my perspective and makes me confident in my creative work.
San Francisco was a city I grew up hearing people talk about and being able to visit in person was a special thing. I spent five days feelings like a five year old at a candy shop. Eyes glistening 👀✨
Finally got around to sharing my travel notes and photos. Also put up a some recommendations for bakeries and local taco shops. Link is in my bio, have a look! #travel#sanfrancisco
HAPPY BISEXUAL PRIDE / VISIBILITY DAY Y’ALL 💖💜💙
As a queer chicanx, nonbinary (They/Them pronouns), and bisexual individual I feel like I’m used to the life of living and loving
in-between-ness. Ni aqui, ni alla.
But despite that, everyday I feel a lil more represented in life, media, and art. If you identify as any of the above (even if you are not limited to those labels), thank you for continuing to fight and continuing to love. I see you.
And as a reminder:
x) bisexuality is not limited to two genders
x) you can be in a heteronormative relationship and still be bi
x) you can be married and still be bi
x) bi isn’t just straight or gay
x) bisexuality is NOT synonymous with promiscuity (and promiscuity isn’t even bad so mind your own business) ✨
Feliz Domingo 🌻 That is all.
What do you do with one day in SF? Try to do it all.
We started our day getting a snack at one of Ashli’s local haunts, then walking through a lovely hilltop park where we saw the infamous « painted ladies », a row of Victorian era houses that are brilliantly colored. We walked through Chinatown and learned about the history of the area, wondering the busy streets of markets, bazaars, and dives. We tried a fortune cookie from the Golden Gate Fortune cookie Factory, and a snack from a bakery, then meandered our way to Lombard St, stopping for free fudge samples, checking out a book store and a short stroll through Little Italy. Down on energy, we grabbed a snack in Ghirradelli square (that was NOT chocolate, can you believe?) then made our way to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, Karl was covering the entire thing and even with a beautifully sunny day, the fog didn’t look like us was going to let up. I pouted a bit, but was quickly a happy camper when we grabbed Mexican dinner before heading to Oktoberfest by the Bay.
It was a crazy busy day, but I so enjoyed being able to catch up with @ashtem and explore her new home! Thank you for your hospitality, we miss you dearly. I’ll have to visit again when Karl is gone!
Jan. 30, 1974: The Transamerica Pyramid was just 2 years old when Chronicle photographer Jerry Telfer took this photo from the the roof of apartments on Vallejo Street. At the time, residents were upset about the "Manhattanization" of downtown San Francisco, but at night, the skyline was easy to love. Telfer, a Chronicle photographer for 40 years, died this month at 75. 📷: Jerry Telfer
