The weeping variety of cherry blossom tree live longer than the more popularly cultivated yoshino type, and also tend to bloom a few days earlier. This youngish one in front of Hozomon gate is already surrounded by a sea of visitors to Sensöji temple in Asakusa.
Sensō-ji might be Tokyo's oldest temple, but definitely not the oldest looking. This Buddhist temple dedicated to the goddess of mercy and compassion is a pure diamond to look at. The market leading to it is also a good way of trying local food.
Twilight in Senso-Ji ✨ I don’t usually post night pictures but I feel like some places in Tokyo are more beautiful at the end of the day when the vibrant colors of the temples and pagodas are turned on ! It is even more appreciated that there are truly less people than during the day ! Let me know if you like this kind of night shot 🏮 #sensoji#tokyo#japan
