Since opening up about my anxiety I have had so many messages of love and people have been reaching out to me they have even come up to me and opened up what they are going through. It's been a very overwhelming experience but now it's been something that has sparked a fire inside me. The ability to spread more awareness and give my support the best way I can.
I am so blessed to have the ability to open up and share my experiences and God has blessed me in so many ways. I hope that this will be a ripple effect in helping others who are suffering silently too.

It’s the season of illness and it seems everyone is getting it... including me. HOWEVER I didn’t listen to my body. I landed back from my holidays tired and not that rested stumbling into bed at 1am, up for a long day at work the next day. And guess what? I got a cold. Previous to my holiday I had been none stop, weddings, work, many social engagements and then fitting my 6am yoga sesh in every morning. Believe me I was knackered. So I wasn’t surprised when I got my cold.... but did it stop me? Nope! I powered on through. I worked hard and I played hard. I had a birthday and I wasn’t going to let my cold effect it! BUT the day after my birthday party I started to feel achy, I just put this down to hangover so got an early night. That night was a night of high fever and temperatures. That was Monday and I’m only just feeling human on Friday. A horrid week of flu (I won’t disgust you will all the symptoms). I’ve been in bed all week and had to change everything at work, I was panicked and worried and everything else in between. But guess what? The show went on. And in the end, it was the best thing for me. The truth is, I hadn’t listened to my body. I talk about self love but going at 100 miles per hour isn’t self love. My body intervened and went ‘girl, you need a rest’. So sleep and bed was all I could do. I feel better for it. I had no idea how tired I was. It’s really ok to take a day off for a cold and rest. It’s really ok to cancel social plans too. And it’s really ok to have a lie in and miss and early morning yoga sesh (you have the whole day). Putting pressure on yourself can often lead to the opposite of what you want to achieve, like it did me. But mannnn I needed that sleep 😴

Do you choose quality over quantity? .
When it comes to all kinds of aspects of your life: your work, your business, your relationships, your colleagues, your love life, your network, your income streams, your time spending, your investments, your wardrobe, your food, your thoughts and your actions - CHOOSE QUALITY.
Because in the end, quantity is not important. Quantity only satisfies your EGO. Your ego always wants more because it believes you'll be happier. Your ego wants to have power and social status. If you choose quantity, you'll undermine what's best for you in the long run.
On the other hand, quality is extremely satisfying for your soul. Quality in relationships is far more developing and happiness providing than random relationships with friends and lovers. Quality in the work you do will give you far more contentment and self confidence than mass production. When it comes to how you spend your time, it's far more important to do one thing really good than to do a lot of things halfway. .
Sometimes it's important to stop and ask yourself if your everyday choices are boosting your ego or building your inner self. Your happiness will be dependent upon it.

The past months in Kenya I was lying a lot in the sun and the only movement was going for a walk or getting up to my flat on the 2nd floor or very rare practicing yoga!
The past 3 days I helped rebuilding my most favorite beachbar in Diani, that burned down 4 days ago! While helping I moved my body more then during my whole stay!
And as the aching I felt all over my body especially after day 1 is getting better, I really enjoy this kind of body workout!
I know that loving myself also means to move my body.
But knowing and actually doing it, can be 2 very different things!
Am thinking about how to implement this movement in my daily life so that I will actually do it!
Cause helping my friends is not only a body workout, it‘s also good for the soul!💙

[[10.17.18]] Day 4 out of 80 and we worked our AAA — Arms, Abs, A (BOOT-A-Y 🍑 I don’t swear guys 😉) & talk about REAL.RAW. & UNCUT — the embarrassing sweat 💦 marks are proof that I was yet again, schooled by these small devices! 🤣
BANDS-SLIDERS-WEIGHTS —> OH MY! 😧 didn’t I predict that this would happen? (If you read my last post about resistance bands, ya know what I’m talkin’ about 😬)
I’m in the process of moving next month and today was an extremely hectic day! I meal prepped my food on Sunday, but I was running around ALL day and let the “busyness” get the best of my nutrition. 🤷🏽♀️ •
Honestly, if this were to be 6-months ago? I would’ve let it discourage me SO much more because I can’t lie, it was a bit discouraging because I know what goals I want to achieve! BUT, guess what? I also made a commitment to myself to focus on PROGRESS vs. PERFECTION and to focus on the POSITIVES rather then sulk and dwell on the negative! The old me would’ve said OK my nutrition was way off today, so what’s the point in even working out today?! I can skip right? I can make it up right?! WRONG! What’s the positive out of all of this? I still got my workout done after a LONG day and it was 10PM! (Who AM I ?! 😬) GUYS — this just shows the power of at home fitness and being able to do it right in the comfort of my home, being apart of an uplifting community where I see other challengers killin’ their workouts (pure motivation) AND the power of POSITIVE MINDSET! 🙇🏽♀️
Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. Remember — you and I have managed to get through any other bad day we’ve had and we’ll make it through this one too. 🙏🏽💕 #choices#postivemindset

PRACTICING SELF-CARE | Feeling depleted has become our norm. Being burnt out is not a badge of honour. Self-care isn't selfish, it's necessary. It's giving the world the best of you, not what's left of you by taking care of yourself at a deeper level.
This might come easy to some of you already. With busy lives we often live on auto pilot. If guilt and self-indulgent feelings arise it's time to let them go. Stop. Breathe. Schedule in time to prioritize yourself. Let this be your time to slow down to check in with yourself. It can look like treating yourself to a massage, quality sleep in, expressing your creativity, soaking in the bath or mine is beach therapy + training, whatever it is. Treat it as a special appointment. We all know we can't serve from an empty vessel. Lately I have been feeling like fucking Wonder Woman in the gym. Let me tell you why:
For as long as I can remember, I've been a natural athlete. I had to climb higher, run faster, and hit harder than anyone else.
I started running and lifting weights at age 17, and only progressed with my fitness during my time in the Marine Corps, regularly outperforming my peers - even most of the males.
The problem is, up until a few months ago, I was usually training out of a place of ANXIETY and INSECURITY.
Can I do more pull ups than the males? How will they respect me if I don't finish top 5 on this 8 mile run? What do people think about me in the gym right now?
I grew up with a highly critical parent, and it stayed with me for many years. It left me codependent for most of my life; always needing others' approval and feeling like a failure if I wasn't perfect.
After taking 10 months off from the gym, I'm back, and for the first time in many years, I AM THERE FOR MYSELF.
For the first time, I am SO CONTENT to be at the gym because I LOVE myself, regardless of what stage of fitness I am at, and I genuinely enjoy working on myself, for no reason other than I love the fucking process and investing in myself.
I encourage anyone who feels the need to look a certain way, perform a certain way, or BE a certain way, to ask yourself: who is this for?

I chose the light over darkness and density any time.
Dark and dense experiences can be valuable too - I agree with that.
I choose to leave them being experiences which come and go whenever they serve me.
For my state of being, for the essence of my life I choose light, lightness and love.
A couple of days ago I met a woman who was noticeably upset when hearing that I choose what I believe. #triggering
It helped me to be reminded that not everyone is familiar with the concept of creating their own reality.
That not everyone is or feels empowered to create and live the life they want and are meant to.
It reminded me that sharing how I live and create my life is important.
And it for sure encouraged me to keep on going, guiding those who are ready to live the life that they're meant to live.
While she might not be ready to take responsibility for her experience and reality, I know that many are.
And I'm here to serve them.
With all my love.
With all my gifts.
With all, everything and everyone there is.
I think 9 out 10 of my clients very vulnerably share with me that they’re struggling with confidence 💔
Something about me you guys might not know is that before I started doing these workouts...I HATED how thin I was. 🙈😭 I actually STILL struggle with it to this day.
Not as bad as I used to because I’ve learned to love myself.
I’ve literally had people tell me “I need to eat a cheeseburger” and that hurts as much as telling someone who is overweight that they should starve themselves.
I didn’t really mean for this to turn into a novel...but as I grow older and love myself more...my confidence is at an all time high.
Yes I still have slip ups with insecurities, but the healthier I get and the more I take care of myself (mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually)...the more I love what I see in the mirror.
It hurts my heart to see my friends NOT loving every inch of themselves.
I guess I just want you guys to know that the confident and proud person you see me as today is the result of four or more years of a self love project. It takes TIME. But the end result is WORTH all the work.
SELF LOVE ISN'T SELFISH
So many problems in life, including health issues, and unhealthy relationships, would be virtually non-existent with more healthy self love present.
Some ways I've learned to love myself over the years on my healing journey are:
Learning to trust myself and my intuition, follow my excitement (rather than be paralyzed by fear), listen to my soul rather than the ego mind chatter.
I invest in myself and my growth/health/expansion through books, online courses, and finding mentors to help me where I'm stuck.
When we truly love who we are, we spend money, time and energy on ourselves. .
We rest when tired. We make self care a top priority- not an after thought.
We have strong boundaries. We eat what makes our body feel healthy. We move our body. We listen to ourselves and our body.
We don't let the 'inner mean girl' (we all have) win. We take risks and bet on ourselves. .
Self love is an act. It's a way of being.
It's caring for our physical body, emotional and psychological health, spiritual and self connection and meeting our own needs.
It's never giving up on ourselves - even when it's hard.
It's not an effort kind of energy. It's a choice.
Declare to learn through self love, not self criticism.
The deeper you go with this, the faster #adrenalfatigue recovery happens.

Lighting can change so much. This lighting has my back, but in other lighting I can look at myself and instantly start to criticize everything. It’s normal to have scars. You can have muscle and still have cellulite. These things we criticize ourselves over are all normal parts of the body.

“How did you become so confident?”
If you’ve followed me for awhile you know the answer isn’t weight loss.
I‘ve been much smaller than I am now and was still extremely self-conscious.
My answer is: I worked towards self-acceptance.
Embrace who you are right now. Your strengths and weaknesses, the things you like and the things you don’t.
Because here’s the thing: you don’t need to like everything about yourself to feel good.
Self-acceptance allows you to get more comfortable with who you are which can breed confidence.
This also doesn’t mean don’t strive for change or growth. Work on the things you want to improve...
