I’m in the final push of making work for @urbancraftuprising this coming weekend in Seattle, June 30-July 1. This is a planter that I carve first and then slip trail with black. I do this when the clay is leather hard, so then I can go back and easily clean up my mistakes. I always use underglaze at this step since I’m not perfect and I like the ease of touch up, especially when that slip trail decides to spit. One of the tricks of the trade! 😉
Summer time is the busy time of the year for Crafters, as far as making appearances. The busy time of year, as far as making things? The winter! GTMW will be joining the slew of booth presenters this summer- at local events in Kittitas County, WA. I have booths planned for Roslyn's Farmers Market (once in July, Aug, and Sept) and the first annual Brews, Blues, and BBQ Festival in Cle Elum next month. Be watching for official release of those dates!
