It's quite fascinating to learn that these devoted fisherman and their families actually live full time on these floating villages scattered along Ha Long Bay. The children actually have to take water taxis to/from school, on nearby Cat Ba Island. P. S. Those massive boats to the left are squid hunting vessels!
WATCH till the end! Me trying to climb the slippery tree (the bark was taken off to make it harder) 🎥🤣 #itsworthit
Since something really stupid, funny, humiliating and crazy happened at home yesterday might as well I share this now. 😋 #truestory
The video was in #bakelalan and it was during their Pesta Beras Adan. While just the day b4 I was a champion lontar batu for their Sukan Rakyat games. 😂🏆 #feellikeachampion
In this video you can see that the other participants was trying to help me get at least to the middle part of the tree. While the rest of the kampung makcik's was laughing hysterically! 🤣😭 #comingbacksoon
Thank you @jennyferyan for the video and commentary. 😘😆 #myadventurepartner

It was extremely hard to choose which photo to feature from Banteay Srei, aka the citadel of women. I was awestruck by how gorgeous it was, and the amount of detail in the carvings. Let’s just be honest, it’s really hard not to take a good photo here, and I think this was my favorite temple of all.
The temple was built by King Rajendravarman in 967 AD. It’s made out of pink sandstone in dedication to the Hindu god Shiva and has been nicknamed the “jewel in the crown” of Angkorian art.
It takes about 30 minutes to get here by car. We combined it with a full day tour of Beng Mealea and Koh Ker, which worked out perfectly. Like everything else, it’s always best to get here as early as possible, but since it’s a bit further out we noticed it was much less crowded than others.
What’s the most beautiful temple you’ve seen?
📍 - Phuket, Thailand
🇺🇸: It’s already Spring but temperatures in NY are still forecast to get below freezing tonight in NY... 🥶
Thinking of (warm!) Phuket right now, enjoying this view of the sunset over Kata Noi Beach from my room at the @thegalleriresort 🏖
The hotel was on top of the hill between Kata and Kata Noi Beaches - like anything in life, had its pros and cons, so keep them in mind when you choose where to stay:
✅ Pros: We had beautiful views from our rooms and the restaurant/pool area. It was also quieter and a bit of a peaceful haven from the busy-ness of the town (we went on NYE and all of Phuket was packed!)
⛔️ Cons: Going up and down the hill every time we wanted to go to the beach, the town, or around Phuket was a bit of a hassle because of traffic. Also, it can get tiring particularly for older or less fit folks.
👇🏼Comment below: ⁉️Where do you prefer to stay - atop of a quiet hill, or in the bustle of town?
Just three hours into a 14 hour overnight layover in Hanoi. The last time I was in a Vietnam was four years and twenty-something countries ago. Still one of my top five favorite countries — largely because if the food. Do you think UberEats exists in Vietnam/what are the chances TSA would let them bring me some bun cha or pho?
I wake up and thank god every day for this beautiful, kind, adventurous spirit that has been brought into my life. 🙌 I must have done something really altruistic in a past life because I can't think of one thing I've done in this life that should warrant the love of this beautiful soul! Even without the adornments of makeup, perfected hair, and of course a new fancy dress from @goldustbali - I still only see beauty in this woman, even in sweats, a unicorn t-shirt, and sleepy eyes at 5am for a sunrise shoot 😍❤️.
We spent an amazing few days on Nika Island in the north of the Ari Atoll, Maldives. It was an experience that was indescribable. Private beach resort, crystal clear waters, and every morning we had several baby black tip sharks that came into our private waters and enjoyed the morning sun with us. ☀️ 🦈
Nika Island was the only private resort Island we visited during our travel but the sheer luxury and level of hospitality was unrivaled. Well worth the extra expense to feel like kings and queens for a couple days. 🏰.
💡 Maldives Travel Tip: Most private resorts will try and tell you the only way to get to the island is by seaplane from Male. This is not true, and is one of their biggest money making tactics. Instead, take a speedboat to the Atoll you plan to stay at. You can then schedule a private boat or speed boat to the island you need to get to. You will save between 50 and 90% on transportation to the island.
💡 Bonus travel tip: MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE FEES! Many of the resorts we looked at seemed reasonably priced until we go to check out and saw the fees. They were in some cases the same or more than the actual price of the room per night. Keep an eye out for those.

Ha Long Bae 😍🇻🇳
When you Google Vietnam THIS is what you see, followed by photos of how people seem to fit 13 family members and 60 eggs on 1 motorbike
Ha Long Bay is dotted with 1600 limestone islands and turquoise waters, giving me another good excuse not to leave #sorrymom
Did you love Ha Long Bay as much as I did? 🇻🇳
