Picture window. I was reminded of this haunting Dorival Caymmi song about fishermen lost at sea (É Doce Morrer No Mar) after hearing some fishermen anecdotes in the Highlands/speaking Portuguese with our host, whose family migrated to Brazil a couple generations ago, then returned to Scotland. I shot this odd little version just before we took off for points south. Tonight @robinsonandrohe plays in Liverpool. #dorivalcaymmi#scottishhighlands

I only have two left folkies! Both are available to order on the website (link in bio).
The water can be very choppy here so to capture the movement, I used the textured edge of a Caithness flagstone wall at a nearby church - white moss markings and all.
I just adore that pop of red on the bothy and dam railings. Loch More is a special place to many, I’m sure I won’t be the only one who leaves feeling a connection to the landscape.

Hidden mountain Lochs deep in the Scottish highlands. I’ve just returned from 2 weeks road tripping cross one of the most incredible regions I’ve visited. From the rugged peaks of the highlands to the raw windswept coastline of the Outer Hebrides this journey was so much more than I expected & I can already sense that it has left a lasting impression me. Over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing some of the moments I captured during my time spent in the north west by which I hope to give you a small insight of what I got up to.. Who can spot the ice in the Loch?
