Happy Earth Day! (Belated) I hope everyone had a chance to go out in nature and celebrate yesturday! Nature is so powerful, and being that it is our native home we should always try to perserve what little nature we still have left. So much of what negatively impacts our environment occurs due to human intervention. With global warming at the forefront, along side illegal logging, slash and burn agriculture>>Deforestation, illegal pet trade, bush meat, palm oil, etc. the list goes on. So many people don't have access to this information because its kept out of the media. We are responsible for mitigating the politics behind what is happening to our native home; it is up to us! One person can make a huge difference, even if that just means picking up a small piece of trash that will one day end up in the ocean, or practicing water conservation! Many of our keystone species (species that depend on eachother for survival) like vampire bats for example are at a serious risk for extinction. This is why scientists use the term "life cycle" because we are all inner-connected and depend upon eachother for survival. As my professor said "What good is money if you can't breathe" -Kat White. Educate youself and spread awareness!!! SWIPE RIGHT!!! 》》COPY THE LINK BELOW TO GET EDUCATED ON THE HARMFUL AFFECTS OF PALM OIL

Imagine if we lived in a world that used bamboo for all our paper needs.
🎋Bamboo grows back much faster than trees do.
🎋Bamboo sequesters carbon, meaning it pulls carbon out of our air and uses it.(Some bamboo is carbon negative)
🎋Bamboo requires no chemicals and very little water to grow.
🎋Bamboo is 100 percent biodegradable so products made from it will not plague our environment like plastic and other non sustainable products.
Guess how many trees are cut each day for toilet paper alone?

Today's Love Where You Live moment brought to you by the barn owl we saw on our walk yesterday. So cool. In a stand of trees next to a lot on Hwy 26 that is for sale and zoned for townhouse development. #lovewhereyoulive#protect#savethetrees

I had the pleasure of working with the Humane Society through Threshold Giving some time ago. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I was able to help protect some of the precious creatures that inhabit this world, while making friendships that will last a lifetime ☺
A Happy Earth Day is a Happy Health Day!
In celebration of Earth Day, it was a perfect day to get my hand's dirty planting flowers in pots, weeding and raking around the flower beds. It's also a great time to learn more about the environment, how to make a commitment to learning more about the environment and how you can help to protect it. *
Especially, understand how climate change works, and what you can do about it. This includes urban environmental issues like contaminated drinking water and energy conservation if living in a city.
We as so blessed to live near the ocean in Maine and it's important to help keep it clean for use and the plant life in it. Like our environment, your body needs to be protected and keep strong. It requires special attention to keeping healthy and alive. *
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better; it's not." It all starts with you! When people make the decision to begin any new food or fitness plan with us, they all have one thing in common; the desire to feel lean, healthy and strong. *
Do your body good, start with you and your surroundings. Realistic goals lead to consistency...consistency leads to results.

I didn’t acknowledge #worldearthday because sometimes I can’t handle thinking about the state of our world and how hopeless it all feels. I don’t think we should ever stop fighting for it but the heartache at the destruction can be overwhelming. Someone once gave me advice on the best way to head forward: do the best you can with the little things, recycle, avoid products with palm oil, reuse what you can. And then pick something that can make a larger impact and focus just on that thing. For me it’s the pangolins but it could be lobbying your council to ban balloons, joining the committee for an endangered species NGO, putting specialised skills such as website design to use for environmental organisations and never stop making our voice heard, although sometimes it feels quite and small. As individuals we can’t do everything and to try will only leave us broken and helpless. Perusing one cause passionately, with everyone else doing the same, can make a real impact. 🔵 Microplastics are small plastic pieces less than five millimeters long which can be harmful to our ocean and aquatic life.
🕐Our aquatic friends end up with these plastics in their body. When we eat them, that means that they can enter our body.
🐬When we pollute our Earth with plastics, we aren’t only hurting our bountiful oceans and wildlife, we are also polluting our own bodies.
🤺We are fighting to eliminate plastics from packaging and to use more sustainable alternatives.
Y’all, let me tell you how awesome my mom is. I talked to her about being less wasteful. One way of doing so is eating more raw foods. She sent me this today. Bout made my fuggin cry. 💙 #savethetrees#noplanetleftbehind
Did we mention our SPACED OUT sweatshirts are back in stock? For big people and little people alike, dollar from each one helps the @worldlandtrust plant a tree in the planet's most endangered of habitats around the world. #prettycool#livekind 🌚

Die beste Zeit, einen Baum zu pflanzen, war vor zwanzig Jahren. Die nächstbeste Zeit ist jetzt. | Aleksej Andreevic Arakceev |
Was wäre unsere Welt ohne Bäume? #noplanetb#woraufwartenwirnoch ? #letsplantarevolution
There is no Planet B. Happy Earth Day! #Repost@signsofthemarch (@get_repost)
🌍 Happy Earth Day! 🌎
“The earth is what we all have in common, it needs to be our responsibility to take good care of it.
This photo/project has been created by the wonderful @manuelbergmann & I had a chance to be a part it of along with these beautiful beings (all tagged on the photo).
• There are plenty of things we can do to take care of our planet (not just on Earth Day, but EVERYday): 🐷 Did you know that ANIMAL AGRICULTURE is the number 1 cause for climate change!!? There are things most people can do to start creating small changes. -Lowering (& learning to substitute) your animal products consumption, #MeatFreeMonday could be a great start. - Educating yourself by watching documentaries like Cowspiracy, Forks Over Knives and Earthlings & doing your own research. 👚 Buying less & taking care of what you already own. - When buying things that you actually need, consider buying secondhand.
🗑 Recycle. - Learn about how you can improve your recycling. - Reuse and up-cycle whatever you can. - Pick up the trash you see out and about.
🥤Reduce & learn to say NO to the single use plastic. This makes a huge difference! + Reusable products are so much more popular & accessible now.
🙏🏻Take care of your mental health. It’s important to find a healthy balance between taking care of our mental health & being an activist. Taking care of ourselves, helps the planet more than we realise. - When you take good care of yourself, appreciate yourself your body & your surrounding - you naturally want to take better care of everything around you. - By regularly recharging your own battery you are able to help the planet more!”
