Just been fixing the unfortunate hole on the other half's suit trousers ready to go to a wedding next week. We bought this Ben Sherman suit for £40 from eBay a few years ago. It's attended many beautiful weddings and definitely paid it's way! However the hole couldn't be left any longer. GCSE textiles has come in useful for something!! In other news, while sorting paperwork we realised that the finance on my partners car finishes this year, not next as we originally thought. This is going to make SUCH a difference to us (assuming the car keeps going 😂🙈). The goal then will be to put the money aside so that when the car needs replacing we can do it with a cash buy. Fingers crossed.

It's grocery day. We recently changed our grocery budget from $450 a month to $400 so we had $93 left for May. This total came to $83 So just in. Need one more thing from another store which will fit just in our $400 limit. Hoping we can stay under our new budget limit. Kind of enjoying the challenge 😅😊
Already got the slow cooker on to make pork pies and will use what's left for pulled pork burgers during the week. My second attempt at slow cooking a roast in a very long time so hope it works out! 👌
Full disclosure this isn't our entire food budget. We also have an Outings budget for when we eat out (which is something we do enjoy) and we each have a personal spendings budget which is there for anything else we buy like lunch at work if we don't have left overs or want to grab something. We love our food so make sure we budget to allow up some money to enjoy ourselves on the weekend but are always mindful of what our budget limits are 😊
Do you meal plan weekly, fortnightly or monthly? I like the simplicity of once a week and seems to work the best for us especially as it's hard to know your schedule weeks ahead when it can always change. Also prefer the quick shop. I worked in a supermarket for 11 years, I've spent enough time in one for a life time already 😂😂
