always keep coming back to your ability breathe. not just the involuntary inhale-exhale that we do without thinking, but the conscious diaphragmatic breath that taps into our parasympathetic nervous system — the rest and digest mode. this allows the body to regulate healthy physiological responses and initiates a state of calm. .
you have the power to focus on nothing but the moment.
Aún no estás preparado.

Manifest your deepest desire in journey between awake and asleep #yoganidra
Yoga Nidra is a simple way to start meditation practice.
In the beginning if you are under-rested, you may fall asleep during the practice and it's ok, but as you progress you can use this practice to find clarity and your desire.

little things that make me happy ☺️ new running nutrition + fav running jacket goes on hella sale + fav snacks! spent a lot of time today feeling weak mentally, emotionally, physically…just went on a nighttime walk through the mission and pondered it and realized how bs that is
today marks 39 weeks purge free!! i was feeling a lot of anxiety about tomorrow’s long run?? but like why…i’ve done it before & i can do it again & this is something i do bc i love it so there’s no pressure [even if i don’t go the full planned distance.] i’m stronger than i’ve ever been - i’ve been doing my long runs + pretty much all other runs without music, i set alarms starting at like 4:30 am to go run early in the morning when i don’t need to bc i think it builds mental strength, i spend a lot of time mentally preparing myself and seeing what i can do better & i’m better able to conquer my thoughts & i’ve become so much more disciplined than i thought i had in me?? you’re stronger than you know 💪

Got everyone working at the Studio today. I’ve been wanting an OM symbol on the wall at the Studio, so I got the family artist on the job. I’m loving it thanks my love! Tom was ace at coloring in and Pepp did a lot of supervising and lying about .

I'm enjoying family time. I'll add muscles and benefits Monday when I'm back in town.

Sometimes you just need to move, play, and then move some more. Hour and a half long flow with a couple of buddies joining in here and there... Roy even played me the singing bowl for my savasana! He’s so good at it. I love when he joins me on the mat.

Samādhi is the 8th and final limb of yoga. It’s through a series of practice that you can reach samādhi (complete attention). We’ve all, at one point in our lives, probably felt or experienced some type of samādhi by our consciousness being fully immersed in something. The best way to explain how samādhi works is a sequence of steps, just like learning how to drive, you first learn how to start the car, figure out where all the buttons are, what the rules are on the road, etc. You then learn to put the car in drive and get a feel for the car in motion stopping and going. Next, you advance to the next step of driving on a street with others and eventually reach a level to where you drive and it becomes second nature, driving becomes part of you. Just like anything in life to master a skill it requires time, energy, practice, more practice and then some more time. .
For today’s challenge I chose supta baddha konasana with one hand on heart and the other on belly, practicing the connection of mind, body and breath. .
Thank you to all the wonderful hosts! This was such a lovely way to tune inward and give us the chance to define what the limbs of yoga mean to us and the space to express them. Grateful for the opportunity❤️
Side note... look how absolutely STUNNING my mala is! The beautiful @nataliemaeyoga handmade for me! I wear it ALL the time when I practice, hand made gifts are the best gifts!😘😍 Hosts:
If you suffer from lower back pain try these variations of savasana to release your lower back, support your knees and/or shins and feet with a bolster or chair seat.

Only when fully expressed - fully felt, fully breathed into - can the energy of an emotion be released. Once released they can no longer have a hold on us. This is true from the perspective of being released from our mind, but also from our physical body.
Different emotions are held in different regions of the body and in fact they're held in our tissues and by different organs.
We understand that we can feel joy in our heart, have butterflies in our stomach; we get choked up with emotion; our heart aches. This is the mind body connection that happens on both a physical and chemical level.
The only way for emotions to be truly released is to allow them to arise and to be fully expressed.
