Contrary to what it looks like, I actually got a hair cut today for the first time in 7 months 😂 You can imagine the length before the cut! When people ask me how I grow my hair this long and keep it healthy - it's probably a lot more simple than you would think my answer would be. But since I get that question quite often, I figured I'd take the time to answer what works for me personally 💇🏼
1️⃣I wash it once a week and on the 6th day I put coconut oil in and let is sit for 24 hours
2️⃣I rarely use heat on it, if ever. Sometimes I blow dry sweat out during the week, but I never style it - just let it air dry
3️⃣I don't use any products in it regularly except shampoo and conditioner
4️⃣I only cut it 2-3 times a year max just to trim dead ends unless I'm feeling super ambitious 😂
Other than that, a healthy diet probably helps keep it fresh and long. Not overdoing the products but trying to keep it natural as much as possible. Thank you @hairbyrichard for always taking care of my mane when I do come see you. I already feel 12 lbs lighter!! I'm hoping my tangle woes will minimize for like 2 months (LOL - you have to be a regular IG story watcher to understand that reference).
