This papaya-sized ball of cuteness is a Horsfeld's Tarsier, the smallest primate in Borneo. I remember it took me ages to find my first one, though after countless night hikes in the jungle, it's much easier to find one now. It only comes out at night, it's the same color as the trees it hugs, and its eyes lack the reflective tissue found in most carnivorous mammals, making it particularly challenging to spot. Fortunately, they don't seem to be afraid of humans. I had the honor of following this guy for over half an hour, watching it hop from tree to tree, hunting insects and being cute.
