I'm Diana and I feel most like myself when rocking a ranch hoodie and purple lipstick.
I choose to be an Avon lady and an Avon mentor because of the freedom it gives me to take care of my family, while still letting me be me.
I enjoy summer and sunshine.
I love scary movies.
I cry a lot.
I'm funny and making people laugh is my favorite.
Mascara and lipgloss, always.
I make seriously good carbonara.
I make terrible pancakes.
I have a child with the driest skin ever and my skin is an oil slick.
I love frogs and stars.
I love traveling but coming home to Montana is always the best part.
If you got this far, I'd love to know something random about you that I might not know.
Taking another rest day. Don't forget, I get 3 of them every week with this program! We are still filling deer tags today, but while everyone sat around after lunch I decided to get some fresh air and take a quick walk. And let me tell you, it felt good! Nothing like crisp Montana air!
Very good friends of mine from Fort Benton brought one of their horses—Penny—out to the #farm and I got to pull out my great-grandfather’s old side-spring #buggy for a bit. This mode of transportation would have taken a couple hours to travel the 12 miles from our farm to Big Sandy—how times change! #ruralmontana#farmhistory#bobquinnorganicfarmer
First real snow of the season here in Montana. I might complain about the cold and snow but it makes for beautiful views.
What’s the weather like where you are today?

Today’s the day.
Do you have opinions about our clean air and water? About our open working landscapes and access to public lands? About our schools and healthcare? About jobs and benefits? Of course you do! So make that opinion count.
Montanans, I’m talking to you!! There are only one million of us here in this state (and only a few hundred thousand vote), which means each of our individual votes counts for a lot. And there’s no excuses for us — it may be snowing on Election Day, but we can vote early and by mail if we want to. Not every state has that option, but we do.
So no matter what your political party or personal beliefs, get out and vote! Do it because you care. Do it because it’s the right thing to do. Do it because not everyone in this world or in this country can. Do it so you can tell your kids or grandkids that you did your best to give them the future they deserve. Do it because we can.
The nights are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter. Pretty soon, a hard frost will knock back the garden and we’ll be done for the year — left with jars of pickles, bunches of drying herbs, and crates of root vegetables. •
There are few things as joyful and satisfying to me as growing my own food. It’s amazing how much a 30x20’ plot can produce, with a lot of elbow grease of course.
What did you grow this year? I’d love to hear about it!
