Let the blooming start! Lovely little crocuses here are some of the first flowers I have on the farm. I planted them about 10 years ago and every year they keep coming up and surprising me that they are still there
So if you caught my stories you’ll see what a little shit my grey mare can be lol. Go watch them before they’re gone if you need a good laugh😄 but I’d love to know.. have you & do you float your horses teeth regularly?! Literally like the dentist but for horses lol. It wasn’t until I was in high school that we started having them done. Crazy that I never even thought of it!
Spring things are happening! 🎉🌱
The chickens are being restricted to a part of their run for a few days while I reseed the rest of the run and hopefully encourage them to lay eggs in the nesting boxes rather than everywhere else that exists (I’m still confused by the eggs in the middle of the lawn- does this egg laying come on so suddenly that some of the hens just drop it off in the middle of scratching for bugs and then continue on like nbd? At least the nests in the goat hay and miscellaneous shrubbery make sense). Three more litters of rabbits are due Saturday, awkward teenager chickens are (for real this time) getting moved outside, peas are starting to climb the trellis, there are a zillion other things to plant, and the end of the road is in sight for our meat ducks.
This is the time of year when I absolutely need lists and a carefully planned calendar to make sure I get all of the time sensitive things done in time (things that are not time sensitive do not get done at this time of year - RIP anything indoors looking clean or organized). .
Hands up if you’re already ready for another bank holiday weekend in the sunshine 🙌🏻 ☀️ it was a great weekend for farmers to get ahead with planting their spring crops 🌾 Oliver from our Commercial Department was lucky enough to escape to Devon for the weekend and capture this beautiful picture.
Had to stop and take this the other night, about a mile from my new place. The setting sun, spring clouds, Rattlesnake, the Columbia, and the father down at the water's edge with his two children made for a powerful shot. 🌅👨👧👦🏞 #teachkidsthegiftofnature
THIS MONDAY AT 7PM .We will be going live with Charlie jacoby from @fieldsportschannel to talk about the latest developments regarding the general licence's.
Hopefully covering how and why this happened. What this could mean for our sport/way of life and how it will affect us.

During a morning drive, just before crossing from Louisiana into Arkansas, we came upon an old gas station and ended up having a really nice moment with this man and his father, two mechanics just making a living in rural America. There’s beauty everywhere, you just have to open your eyes. #america#rurallife#100helpfulstories#roadtrip (first photo: @stigp_dk)
As some of you may know I’m getting married this September so my week in Cape Town has been pretty full of wedding planning shenanigans. Today I got to do one of the more fun activities and that was a beer tasting to see which craft beers we’d like to serve at our wedding. 🍺 Enjoying a nice craft beer on a hot summers day is one of my favorite things to do with my fiancé so naturally we’ll be having a couple on our wedding day. 😏 The veggie burger was pretty great as well 🍔🌱
