Would you like to wake up surrounded by nature?🍃💦 #roomgoals
When looking for hotels to stay in Tulum a few weeks before our trip most of them were booked due to the holidays season. Then I searched on @airbnb and when I saw this place I immediately fell in love😍
A bohemian bungalow with a private natural garden🍃 dining table, treetop watchtower, 🚿outdoor shower, vanity and a plunge pool😱, a perfect combination of #Tulum vibes that I knew I had to book!
Although I loved having breakfast and walking barefoot in the natural garden, I have to admit that at first it was a little weird getting used to showering outdoors 😳 and going out the room at night to go to the toilet hut, but at the end I though it was a really cool experience and totally worth the stay! However my mom, who also stayed at another bungalow did not find it as amusing as I did 🤣 lol. What about you, would you like to stay in a place like this?
If you know us, then you know that we avoid trends wholeheartedly, but sometimes we will twist a trend so that it feels little more fresh, a little more us. Take this kitchen: instead of cladding the window wall with shiplap (an expected choice in 2018, but especially expected in a beach house) we used the white oak planks to match the floor. If you head to our stories today you can see some photos from a current project in which shiplap was an obvious choice to lend us architectural interest to an otherwise dull and drab room. But, our shiplap is textured wood instead of the usual smooth white and omg it’s looking amazing! Also, too early to start planning for summer at the shore? We’re planning a work retreat so tell us what are your favorite local summer spots? Delaware? Hamptons? Jersey shore?
