#funstory I can’t believe I found my Canadian brand dog food @acanapetfood in a @petcoachapp store in the U.S!! I’m 🇨🇦 Canadian, road tripping the 🇺🇸 States with my trusty sidekick @canadasmalldog and we have been buying his food via Amazon after getting hooked on this yummy stuff when we were living in Toronto. Now on the road, my Canadian Amazon Prime Account can’t ship this food to me in the U.S., so I have to log into my American Amazon Account which I don’t have Prime on and it takes roughly 11 days to reach me depending on what part of the country I’m in. Trying to coordinate delivery destinations when I’m on the move from city to city is a delicate balance. I’m now in San Diego and 1 or 2 weeks away from heading to Vancouver where I know I can buy his food... but I don’t have enough food left to make it. SO ... @jenns_trends came up with a grand idea. Let’s buy a small bag of a different brand that I can blend with what I have left to get us through until I’m back in Canada. So in we walk to the closets pet store and my jaw completely dropped when the first display is a HUGE Acana brand display. That’s our food!!!!!! It turns out we walked into one of the only US distributors of my Canadian brand dog food. It felt like a miracle considering the hoops I have had to jump through to get my hands on bags of this in the states. #onehappydog#onehappydigitalnomad I should really get @canadasmalldog sponsored by @acanapetfood. What do you think? #digitalnomad#thedigitalgal#traveldog#roadtrip#travelproblems#roadtripping#roadtrippinglife#rescuedog#roadtripusa#roadtripessentials#roadtripadventure
Chillin in the cut!
Not Pictured: I’d be lying if I said I felt as tough as I look in this photo. The story this picture doesn’t tell is all the anxiety I experienced leading up to this. Rapid heart rate on the drive over just thinking about it. Sweaty palms and lightheadedness waiting in line to descend into the canyon. Thoughts of being trapped with no escape. These are the symptoms of someone with anxiety. Imagine a long narrow canyon packed with people in front and behind you with only one way in and out - so once you’re in... you’re IN. It takes an hour to walk through oh, and no cell service (which for me is always a mental safety next in case of emergencies). I almost didn’t do it because I was scared I’d panic once inside but I decided to face my fears. Throughout the 1.5 hours it took to walk through I battled with my mind to stay calm. Sure I enjoyed it but not without fears of the worst happening creeping though every few minutes. All of this to say, that the pics don’t ever tell the full story. A lot of you were surprised to hear I had travel anxiety when I first opened up about it. I don’t blame you because how would you know? But I wouldn’t blame me either for not opening up. It’s easier to take a pic at you’re highs, than have someone with a camera in your face taking pics of you when you’re at your low and having a panic attack. This trip has helped me open up about my issues so if I seem vulnerable it’s cause I am. Anyway... end rant. Shoutout to anyone that read this all 🏆

A United flight from San Fran to LA Keanu Reeves was on made an emergency landing. Reeves got a van, loaded it up with strangers and took a road trip to LA. Keanu is said to have entertained the riders by sharing factoids about Bakersfield and using his phone and YouTube to play native Bakersfield music. ❤️

A trip through South Dakota would be incomplete without a visit to the Black Hills National Forest, a short drive outside of Rapid City. Prairies, rocky peaks, lakes, winding roads, and of course, Mt. Rushmore all await your viewing pleasure...

Day 8 of Chasing Waterfalls!
Today we went to #CityLakeFalls in the #CityLakeNaturalArea for a short hike. Then we headed over to #EdgarEvinsStatePark for some more hiking. At both places we were the only ones there. We are finally seeing signs of spring with a few green leaves on trees and a bit of warmth in the air.
We found cards pinned to trees with QR codes in City Lake. We scanned the cards and learned a lot about the natural surroundings within the park.
We leave in a few days and will really miss this part of #tennessee . Truly, they have some of the best #hiking and #waterfalls !
